Hello all,

Do wizards retain their arcane school progressions even if they mutliclass out of wizard and into something else?

Arcane School is a class feature, so if I multiclass out of wizard at lvl 8 and into something else, do I lose, say, the conjuration ability that I'd normally have access to at lvl 8 via my arcane school if I'd stayed with wizard?

But could it be argued that Arcane School also grants additional spell slots per day via specialisation, and these spell slots continue even if a wizard multiclasses into something else.

Can anyone help clarify it please?

PRCs that advance casting usually say that they count for spells per day, spells known, and caster level. This lets them earn spells per day as if they were an Nth level specialist. It has no effect on any other class features.

Assuming you're not PRCing into a class that adds to your caster level, the answer is even more clear. No.
