We have heard Tarquin shut down Nale with that line, and I'm pretty sure that the other twin had gotten it from his own leader at some point. Or am I just making this up?

Aside from what Yendor said, I don't think Roy said anything similar. One interesting case, however, is when Elan (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0141.html) says the exact the words with the exact same expression as Tarquin (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0753.html)
