Hi there playgrounders.
Im making a progression for a friend who will be playing an ilussionist.
Leaving progression aside, i though throwing in Metamagic feats would be great.... but their costs....

So my question is:
- How many feats like Divine Metamagic do you know which brings down the increment in levels in the spells???

if someone knows a link to a list of those that would help....a LOT.

Off the top of my head, the Arcane Thesis and Easy Metamagic feats. There are also prestige classes (Incantatrix and Spelldancer) that get Metamagic reduction as a class feature.

Arcane Thesis - PHB 2 - reduces adjustment of all metamagic feats for one spell.
Practical Metamagic - Dragon Magic - Has some requirements - Only works for one metamagic feat.
Metamagic School focus - Complete Mage - Only works for one school - requires spell focus or specialist wizard, useable only 3 times per day.
Easy metamagic - I think this one's from Dragon Magazine or something.

Incantatrix - Prestige class - reduces adjustment of all metamagic feats by 1.
Dweomerkeeper- Same as incantatrix but requires some divine casting to get in.

Metamagic Spell Trigger (CM) allows metamagicked wands. It can have the same effect. Caps at 9th level spell effects.

Metamagic Song (RoS) works for Bards, but has a cap on the total effective level (there are ways to cheese around it, but it's pretty limiting).

Craft Rod might count in a roundabout sort of a way.

If you look on the last page of that guide you'll see that I commented on a prc called the Mind Mage that isn't mentioned in the guide itself awhile back. The Mind Mage was published in Dragon Magazine issue #313 and can be viewed here (http://www.angelfire.com/pro/demon_1/prc_mind_mage.htm).

If you want to play with metamagic the Mind Mage is your best option as far as I'm concerned. In terms of potential power I'd rank Mind Mage right up there with prcs like Dweomerkeeper, Planar Shepard, and Tainted Scholar,
