Saw this on another forum and got rather curious myself:

How many RPGs have bards (townsfolk or party members) who actually sing? The poster listed four: Audren (http://youtu.be/uZ445dYNmi4?t=27s) from Darkstone, Shymone and Scarbunkle (http://youtu.be/sTVHv7JHNzk?t=4m25s) from Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir, Leliana (http://youtu.be/VA-rLV6hGY4?t=13s) from Dragon Age: Origins and Lisette Malukah (http://youtu.be/xp1zE9988EE?t=33s) (because she's that good ) from Skyrim.

Any others?

I would not under and circumstances call what Leliana does "singing."

Well, for the purposes of this particular post, let's do anyway, shall we? :smallwink:

In a very, very, very stretched definition of "bard" and "singing", Yuna & the Gulwings do sing in FFX-2 with the proper dresspheres?

Ah yes, "Real Emotion" (http://youtu.be/F78Ac8XQw9k?t=1m9s). We have dismissed that claim.

Kidding! Sure, it'll do.

Another from the OP: Dandelion (http://youtu.be/xDdQVCkRzak) from The Witcher.

Doesn't Deekin (NWN2) sing?

As well as... what's-her-name... from NWN1.

Temple of Elemental Evil for PC had a Bard NPC who sang every word, name starts with a Z, was annoying after a while.

I believe that, to the misfortune of anyone listening, Grobnar also sings.

Do Deekin, Zaxis and Grobnar have actual songs, though?

I remember Deekin sings his own version of the Doom Song. Does that count?

Mordin in ME2? Also, Skyrim has far more bards. (http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Bard_(Skyrim))

Sacred 2 has one in every town and village. Their repertoire is a bit limited, but still.

You can pay the bards in Fable 2 to sing tales of your exploits if I remember correctly. Fable 3 even has a "lute hero" minigame where you are the bard
