[Starship Troopers] Command Points

I'm trying to work out how many command points a Officer Cadet receives at level up. At 1st level they receive number equal to half their CHA, and they replenish just like action points. But then it states that they receive a number of command points each level equal to 1+prestige. This is very confusing as action points are lost each level and a new set are gained equal to 1/2 CHA + 1/2 lvl.

Does anyone know how command points replenishment works?

No idea, but I'd recommend 3:16 - Carnage Among the Stars instead. LOT less bookkeeping to worry about, and instead you can get down to your badass space marines exterminating alien threats.

Not really an option as my group doesn't have the books, we do however have all the Starship Troopers D20 books. That's kinda why we're playing it.

You can get it in PDF really cheaply, and the rules were made for that style of game. In any case, I'm sorry I can't be of more help with your specific rule question.
