Does anyone know of a way to increase the number of spells a wizard can add to his spell book when gaining a level, using only Pathfinder & 3.0/3.5 Forgotten Realms material?

Master Specialist PrC. Grants an extra spell from the specialized school at 2nd, 5th, and 8th levels in the class.

Planning to play in a game with minimal money/not enough scrolls?

If normal 3.0/3.5 stuff is allowed, Collegiate Wizard goes up to 4 spells per level, and Elven Generalist Wizard goes up to 3, so together they'd do 5 right?

I think Mage of the Arcane Order (CArc, a reprint of something originally FR IIRC) also gives two extra spells for spellbook over the course of the class.

No core 3.0/3.5. just things specifically printed for Forgotten Realms. I would prefer to find a feat, rather than a class that accomplishes this.

I do believe you're SOL then. The only two ways there are have already been mentioned.

It's an update of Guild Wizard from Magic of Faerun, and yes, it increases the number of "free spells" Wizards get each level. Though the OP doesn't want a class-based solution, this is nonetheless a solid (albeit somewhat expensive) option.
