So, I had a peculiar idea recently involving an Oracle/Bard as a party support/healer character. Unfortunately there isn't any real synergy between the two classes aside from both using CHA, but I think we might be able to get this to work with the help of a certain magic item: The Banner of the Ancient Kings (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/banner-of-the-ancient-kings).
Using the banner, if we take the Flagbearer feat and use Inspire Courage we grant our party a +2 Competence and +2 Morale bonus on attack and damage rolls, for a +4 total. Well... so what? A Bard alone can do that anyway, can't they?
Well, yes. However, we really only need one level of Bard to make this work. The rest can be Oracle, which can serve us better as a full caster. But wait - won't we have severely limited Bardic Performance then, with only 4+CHA rounds of performance per day? That's rather bad... but what about 4+CHA encounters worth of performance per day? With Harmonic Spell (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/harmonic-spell), we can maintain performance simply by casting a spell - any spell, which as an Oracle we have lots of. Buffs, heals, crowd control, you name it. And if we run low? Maintain Bardic Performance with Orisons! We can even take Lingering Performance to keep the bonuses up if we have to take an action other than cast.
So, Playground, do you think this is feasible?
