Levels for Elf Generalist Wizard?

Could you tell me about the various levels of Elf Generalist Wizard? I'm familiar with the first level, but don't have any information about the following levels.

3rd level: The bonus granted to you by your familiar improves (often used alongside the Hummingbird familiar from some-Dragon-or-another to win initiative fights.)

5th level: Choose your bonus feat from an elfy archery-related list. (Pretty crappy; you will almost always want to either have a normal Wizard Bonus feat or possibly a Fighter Bonus Feat from using Martial Wizard instead. Recommend skipping this level, might be useful for a ray-specialist to get Point Blank or Precise Shot.. but then, see also Martial Wizard.)

This is the only reason I ever keep a familiar. Dragon 323 (Page 98, Class Acts) Collect your +8 to initiative and keep him in his pocket all day so your DM doesn't kill him :smallbiggrin:. Also when using this I swap out Scribe Scroll for Improved Initiative. It's so nice acting first almost all of the time.

No, there are only three. Levels 1, 3, and 5.

This isn't a prestige class, it's racial substitution levels for the Wizard class. As such, levels 2 and 4 are completely normal Wizard levels. There are no more special racial features if you continue taking Wizard levels past level 5, so you are free to proceed as any other character would (multiclass, prestige class, etc.).

Actually they are only 3 Racial Substitution levels, you can take them as your 1st, 3rd and 5th wizard levels. The other 17 levels are your normal PHB Wizard level (of course assuming you are not using another ACF, variant or anything)

There are three. Most racial replacement levels come at different class level. So to take everything elf generalist gives you would replace the standard benefits of level 1, level 3, and level 5 of wizard. its only three levels, and its more akin to an ACF for wizard

OK, that makes sense now. I keep thinking of it as a PrC, instead of a racial substitution. This is the first time I've run across a racial substitution. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
