Cap on Improved natural attack?

It seems like to me improved natural attack stops advancing at 12d8? though I am not sure so trying to gain clarification.

Rules as written, it doesn't increase past 12d8. However, I don't know why it would matter, as that implies you have a natural attack that deals 12d8 in the first place, which I don't think exists in the rules as written.

EDIT: It would probably increase to 16d8, if the pattern keeps up.

Yea, the pattern is: 3/2 then 4/3 then 3/2 then 4/3.

It gets pretty silly above 64d8.

That's when you're no longer unencumbered from carrying all the d8s.
