Self-Operating Flying Turret

I need to know the fastest way to create a ranged attack making construct that I can control, that can fly & make lots & lots of attacks. Size isn't too much of an issue but I'd like it to be either small enough to carry in a pocket (I don't want to use a portable hole) or big enough to hitch a ride on.

Improved Homunculus, Arbalester, Sneak Attack, Flying. Carry a light crossbow, toss it in the air, have it then fly around shooting people. Profit.
