The ship swerves out of the way, barely avoiding the laser fired from the Imperial ship on your tail. It seems that the "crime lord" who helped you fence your last cargo was actually an Imperial officer working undercover, and now you're in a race to escape from his starship.

Welcome to the game! Feel free to jump right in with whatever actions your character is performing. Choose a color for when your character talks, so that quotes stand out, and do not use the same color as another player.

If you have anything to say out of character, say it in a spoiler such as this. Try not to post if the only thing you have to say is out of character, so that we do not clog up the thread with spoilers, and put everything in only one spoiler per post. Have fun! Don't die too quickly!

Where are we planet/system-wise? Where are we relative to the planet/system we're in? What type of ship is chasing us? Is it just the one? How far away is it in squares? Where is the Night Shadow relative to Trent's fighter?

If any rolls are necessary, then Trent's got Know: Gal Lore, Know: Tech, and Perception at +8. If possible, I'd like to take ten on them for an 18, but if you'd rather roll whatever is applicable feel free.

Do we need an initiative check? If so, then Trent will be using Pilot as Initiative as per the rules in the Pilot skill(pg. 72).

As Coruscant shrinks from view, the ship chasing you grows larger. Those of you who are paying attention recognize it as a Mankvim-814, a fast but fragile ship that saw it's peak of popularity during the Clone Wars. It's not something you'd normally be worried about, but if it calls in any reinforcements, you'll be in big trouble.

The Mankvim is 8 squares behind you (on starship scale), which is pretty darn close, and it's directly behind you. However, your ships (and everyone in them) have initiative. Your ships can be wherever you want them to be in relation to each other.

Also, for future reference, when we're in combat, it would be extremely helpful if you could put your character's (or ship's) HP, DR, and defenses in the title of your post so that I don't have to keep flipping around to the character sheets.

Trent's Z-95 bobs and weaves as it dodges fire from the light interceptor chasing the group. He pops the comm-channel open and yells at the Night Shadow. "Why did we come to the Imperial Center?! Flying right into the heart of Imp territory? Brilliant plan." The Z-95 pulls a tight U-turn as Trent starts lining up the enemy ship in his sights. "Get H1-R8 to start calculating. I'll drop this guy, then we'll jump to lightspeed."

Trent lines up an attack run against the Mankvim-814, and aims to take it out in one shot. His blaster cannons spit angry red bolts toward the Mankvim.

The little droid squeaks out a terse answer. "Busy. Calculating jump." Numbers and algorithms flash across the screen on its chassis. "Where to?" starting the calculations for a hyperspace jump. I would help with the pilot checks, but I think Trent can hold it off while we get ready to jump and I'm pretty sure astrogating is a full round action. Just keep making allout movements and we should be good. Ill help if we run into trouble.

The Mankvim lurches from the attack from Trent, then starts to turn and move away from your ships, against Trent's hopes. Any victory shouts are quickly stifled as you realize he was only maintaining vision with you as two scarab-class starfighters, droid-driven ships, emerge from hyperspace to deal with you.

Lasers immediately start flying, and both ships are hit. The scarabs fly in closer, though the Night Shadow is pulling farther away. H1 is disrupted from engaging the hyperdrive and nearly falls over.

Trent's Z-95 takes 64 damage, and the Night Shadow takes 80. This is before being reduced by DR/SR.

Eventually, you emerge from hyperspace to see Nar Shaddaa, the Smuggler's Moon, glistening from the overgrown cities, covered in pollution. Your ships make way for Ko Hentota, a city where Octavion has a friend who has helped the group a few times before, sometimes selling, sometimes buying, and in cases like this, protecting.

After landing the ships at the dock and leaving, Reylan Lee walks up to Octavion and holds out his hand to shake. Reylan is a short human man who always looks interested in what you have to say, his eyebrows almost never relaxed. "Octavion, it's been a while. Can't just do things the easy way, can you?" he says jokingly and with a smile. "What do you need this time?"

Odentin

Octavtion accepts the offered hand solemnly, but firmly, "Information. We were set up on this last job, had a run in with an imperial officer. I need to find the man who gave us this job and ask him a few questions."

He looks back at the Shadow a moment, at the carbon scoring from the hit, "I've also got some ordinance to sell, if the price is right."

Dunno if you saw, but Zero dropped the game. We didn't know if you wanted to recruit a replacement or anything.

Also, is the cargo still onboard? If so, Octavion would want to have a look at it in hyperspace.

Also also, were we able to identify the droid ships?

He waves at H1. "Hey, High Rate! How's he been treating you?" Reylan was always a little weird around droids.

Yes, I noticed. All I'll say is that I hope we can stop taking Star Wars so seriously and just play the game. I won't get a replacement, I'll just take control of his character.

Zen sees that the ship is too damaged for more flight to be a safe idea, but nothing a few days of repairs can't fix right up.

Sholas notices a figure leaning up against one of the buildings, looking out at the ships. He's wearing a mask on his face, and the rest of his body is wrapped tightly with leather and cloth, so you can't tell what species he is. Besides all that, though, you have the feeling that there is something odd about him.

Reylan begins ushering the group away, and Sholas turns his head for a second. When he glances back, the mysterious man is gone. "Feel free to explore the city, as long as you keep a low profile.
