Anyone have any good ideas for a ship prop to use in my airship campaign? I've seen the playmobil pirate ships which could work and are reasonably priced but the all look a little small to stage combat on the with miniatures. I haven't really been able to find much else that's been suitable or a reasonable price.

Either use Legos, or build one out of cardboard.

I thought about Legos but the price would be prohibitive. I should also have said I have 0 artistic/craft ability lol.

You can find lego bulk lots on Ebay/craigs list. As for making one, is a shoe box (the lid is the top deck. Remove it to see the insides) and just draw the grid on it. Or have the players help you make it.

If your players will be moving around IN the airship, as opposed to moving WITH the airship, it may be easiest to treat it as a static location. Just draw the airship in the map in whichever way you normally use to make those, and you are done! Mostly.

If you have the time and dedication, I would strongly recommend this:

PDF download, make it out of cardstock. HUGE amount of work for a one-off, but for a campaign that revolves around ships or airships, this would be an amazing feature.

Cardboard cut outs and an rc car.....okay that epic sea chase you have planed may derail your session a bit

This looks awesome! This might be the solution to my problem depending in how hard it is to actually put together.

It's actually going to be fair bit of both of these.

It's a lot of work, but the instructions are pretty dang good...they'll walk ya through it a bit at a time, so don't be intimidated.

The ship has a full internal layout and furnishings (crates, bunks, barrels, etc.)
