MA is a pretty decent class on its own, with full casting, some bonuses to [good] spells and ability to fill in unused slots quickly, but it gets a Druid spell know each level (2 levels under the max you can cast, but they are the same level as the Druid).
I'm not really all that familiar with Druid spells, and the druid handbook isn't a big help, being core only. You also can't really make use of anything that is AC related, scales poorly or is alreddy a Wizard Spells.
