Hmm, so going to deconstruct it a lil bit, and would like some folks thoughts on if it is worth it.

Divine friendly casting stats + a con bonus.
Not so friendly arcane stats.

Typical land speed and a small resistance to cold.

Plant type so immune to the usua polymorph and critical hits.

Only need 2 hours of sleep per day , and take half damage from piercing attacks.

Is all that worth LA+2?

Depends on what level you're starting at and if LA buyoff is allowed. Generally, being a whole spell level behind is worth much more than just some stat boosts.

If buyoff is allowed, they're fairly decent. If not, they're not at all worth dropping the levels unless the game is very low op. Consider warforged for similar immunities and lack of sleep need.
