... Can it be done, mechanically? My character has a CHA of 24 if that's any help. Don't know what else is necessary. :smallbiggrin:

You could use a leadership feat.

Other than that, I'd say it's up to the DM. There is a mob template in the DMG II.

Yes. You just need a bunch of NPCs who view you as Helpful. This can be accomplished through normal adventuring (Did you hear that Rupert Strongfists killed the red dragon attacking the city with his bare hands!?!) or through social Skills (stand up in front of a crowd and use social Skills.

Get on a soapbox, make a speach and a few diplomacy or perform(oratory) checks, and you have an instant mob.

Seems what you're looking for is the Incite Violence bardic music ability.
