Does anyone else in the playground plays any variation of Heroclix (Halo, horror, Star Trek, LoTR)?

I played/was a judge back before wizkids went out of buisness. I've been meaning to get back into it since they came back, but there's no local venue to play around here.

National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA)

Weird, last booster pack I bought still has the wizkids logo and heroclix.com still has the logo on it.

well, that's probably because NECA purchased the whole company after it was shut down(due to 'economic downturn' ) not just HeroClix.

I play LOTR The Miniatures Game, on 3 sets of Heroscape tiles (plus some accessory Heroscape sets). IMO the best "Heroclix" game system.

I have huge armies of Collections 1 and 2 (FOTR, TTT). Unfortunately, ROTK Collection went "collectible" on launch because the game was dying and not much ROTK was made. This prevented me from having anything from the ROTK set.

Hopefully The Hobbit will renew interest, but I doubt anything besides the usual frustrating "collectible" aspect will come out of it.
