Trying to make it Rain Acid !

Hey there,
I'm looking for a way to affect a wide area with some acidic rain (such has a whole city).

The only thing I can find is "Evil Weather" (http://dndtools.eu/spells/book-of-vile-darkness--37/evil-weather--139/) or "Apocalypse from the Sky" (http://dndtools.eu/spells/book-of-vile-darkness--37/apocalypse-from-the-sky--131/).

They both have the type of area I seek and the type of duration that I want, but they either do WAY too much damage, or they don't really do damage at all (even if I use a feat to convert the damage to acid-type, it's weird.)

I would prefer to do only 1d6 acid per round for a whole day, within a whole city.
If I would need several feats to do this (such has Persist Spell) that's alright too.

Well, Unholy Storm (SC) deals 2d6 damage/round, no type.

Storm of Elemental Fury (SC) also does damage, and makes wind...and throws fire...not sure if that would work for this.

Then, there's a spell that actually does pretty much what you want.

Acid Storm (SC) Only a 20ft radius cylinder though, medium range, and it's an instantaneous duration, does 1d6/level acid damage.

That's a starting point if nothing else.

Energy Substitution (Acid) is your friend here.
Put this onto a suitable spell with a large enough area and you are good to go.
Add Widen (the Sudden version probably) for extra laughs.

Finding a suitable seed spell is tricky though.
Ice Storm, persisted, maybe ?
Blistering Radiance [SpC] does 2d6 fire over 50' radius, so Persist this.
(I'm not sure that you can Persist these BTW)

Alternatively just use Mirage Arcana.

Storm of Vengeance (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/stormOfVengeance.htm) sort of does what you want, but only for one round of its ten round duration. It's also pretty terrible for its level.
