So ...

I want to know moraly, before I try to sweet talk my DM.

Using the secondary option for Stonechildren, where it gives the stats of the class, before any levels added. the part where +2 con +2 int , and the various immunities.

If I convinced my DM to say, yeah go ahead, you don't have to take the monster classes just use that.

Would I be upsetting any sense of power balance, or would that still be rather minor in the long run.

To put it in the not copying the book ...way. What I get

Am a little bit smarter, I have a little more life, but not very likable

Am average for anyone of medium size, I can see in the dark, and am immune to acid and poison.

+2 con +2 int ... I can see in the dark, and am immune to acid and poison.

You dropped Magic Stone? That's the best part! :smalltongue:

That's more than any of the standard LA0 races get by a long shot. Just spitballing I'd say +1LA at the least, not more than +2 though, and +2 feels a little hefty.

What are you looking to play?

Duskblade proably to 20, unless roleplay has me doing some wierd dip in something just for the fun of it.

Duskblade does love those dips in order to wield on an actually useful spell list.
