View Full Version : Weapon Familiar for a duskblade?

Besides what it adds for fluff, and such how actually good is it, if your not looking to abuse it to hell. Plus if you actually took it, would you risk it for your main weapon, or put it on a dagger?

Item Familiars are one of those things that you need to discuss with your DM ahead of time, and look at the entire feat, explaining what you plan to use it for and what you don't plan to do with it.

It really requires a gentlemen's agreement. You promise not to do anything beyond his comfort zone, and he promises not to deprive you of it.

Of course on the playground, it's a RAW world, and I'm sure you could drum up 30 very unique ideas for how to protect your item familiar. None of that's really neccessary if you have an understanding with your DM though.
