Rule 0, so RAI of the race granting entry is not in contention.

What is a reasonable limit to impose on a character like this as far as number of natural attacks created goes? I'm thinking something along the lines of tentacles or pseudopod slams like an ooze. I really like the idea of a character having somewhat monstrous powers, but I don't want to end up all http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_xhgwMvn-OF0/TLe9rfRdaJI/AAAAAAAAAI0/rHRFEfi0olQ/s1600/23.jpg . Or maybe I do, but I don't feel like I should?

Something based on class level or character level maybe? Something based on the higher of BaB or Caster level? What do you guys think?

I always read it as only creating one, or one pair, at a time. So, claws, or a bite, or a tentacle, or a gore.

I would like to shamelessly plug my own creation here, a warshaper rebuild specifically designed for a changeling character: Changeling Warshaper. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=239838)

When limiting natural attacks, I'd take a look at the book Magic of Incarnum and not gain any more natural attacks than a character who was meldshaping could get.

2 or 4 Claws (extra 2 are from feet)
1 Bite (or 3 if you want to grow extra heads)
1 tail slap
2 tentacles (displacer beast style)

I'm not sure how Slams work, but I'd ignore them since you have claws. Also stay away from wing attacks, no matter how big your wings get they won't be appropriately large enough to attack with.

Ok, I don't know what the hell happened here, but the thread where I and several others posted is now locked for no good reason, and this thread is showing as moved to 3.5 subforum.

OP seems to be the same, everything after is not.

Old thread: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=256229

Considering the dates, maybe it was a duplicate?

It was a duplicate and it was in the wrong forum. I'm surprised the Mods didn't lock it earlier.

As I understood it, it functions this way.

By RAW you can make unlimited natural weapons.
1 weapon per level of WS is a reasonable houserule which I think I'm going to use in my games. It rewards taking more than just a dip of WS (although IMO the capstone ability of WS is the feature that's most useful, in a right build of course).

So APPARENTLY this thread was generated in triplicate, and I had no idea of the existence of the other two. Please point any further conversation towards:

My sincere apologies for the confusion and violating forum rules. :smalleek:
