I've been recently looking into making a few video projects that focus around gaming, and I believe that it could be enhanced quite a bit if I had some video game sound effects in them. Stuff from the NES era and whatnot. Most websites I've checked don't do it for me though... anyone know a good Video Game Sound Effect website that provides mp3s of VG effects? Thanks.

I don't know of a site, but you could always rip your own from ROMs that you, of course, legally own.

NES: http://www.zophar.net/utilities/rippers/nes2nsf.html can convert the music and sfx to an .nsf file. http://www.foobar2000.org/ is an audio player that's easily extended with, for example, http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_gep and you can then convert to anything you want.
SNES: http://www.zophar.net/utilities/rippers/snessor95.html is pretty easy to use and converts to .wav

Oh, and if you do any music production with a DAW that can use VST instruments, http://www.tweakbench.com/toad is one of my favorite free plugins.
