The wind in your face is cool and comfortable. The road beneath your feet is level. An occasional ancient cobblestone peeks through the dirt road, indicating decades of neglect. You notice footprints leading up and down the road, many of which were made by small, clawed feet.

Out from behind the boulders and bushes surrounding the road emerges a swarm of small, reptilian humanoids with pointy teeth and beady black eyes. Most carry only crude spears, but two are clad in armour and blades, and one wields a sling.

Weynard steps out into the center of the road.

"So, it's ter be kobolds, is it? Yer not quite as fun or, ahem, as easy as goblins but I suppose that aint yer fault. Guess you'll make a good warmup though!"

During this speech he lifts his warhammer from his belt and loosens up, shifting from side to side and giving a few practise swings.

"Now, who wants ter play?"

Take a move action, and activate both my Defender Aura and Defend The Line stance.

The sling-wielding kobold dashes out from behind its cover and takes a shot at Weynard before side-stepping. The bullet leaves a trail of sparks and smoke.

Attack: 10 vs AC.
Hit: [roll0] damage, and ongoing 2 fire damage (save ends).

Used move action to move out from behind the rock, used standard action to attack, and then minor action to shift upwards because kobolds can do that.

Keothi - Goliath Barbarian

Keothi's eyes narrow as he looks across the field at the little draconic beasts. A low rumble of a growl starts in his chest and slowly makes its way up his throat and out through gritted teeth as he readies his axe and races across the battlefield. He charges at one of the pathetic creatures, bringing his axe down in a mighty chop.


Move: 6 squares east.

Standard: Charge 4 squares southeast. [roll0] on the pathetic kobold next to me. A hit does [roll1] + [roll2] + 5 damage (16 total).

If that hits, I assume I knock the pathetic kobold to 0 hp. That gives Keothi 3 temp hp and he'll make use of his swift charge to charge the slinger. [roll3]. A hit does [roll4] + [roll5] + 5 damage (16 total).

(I have not moved over to the slinger on the map yet because I don't yet know the result of the first attack, if it misses I can't use swift charge.)

The axe cleaves into the kobild, removing one of its arms and a good chunk of its torso. It crumples to the ground, spurting blood.

Then Keothi will use the swift charge I mentioned in my last post. Judging by my previous roll, it's likely a miss, but he does still move across the board some more.

A small screech emits from Geppe's head as he falls in behind Weynard.
"I hate these things. Always yapping... always picking things apart..." Geppe mumbled distantly. Bringing his crossbow up he drew a bead on the slinger in the distance. With a twang and a heavy click the bolt soared, streaking blue towards the kobold... and over Keothi's head...

Effect: Adjacent allies get a +1 power bonus to their attacks and a +4(Con Mod) power bonus to their damage rolls until the end of my next turn.

Forgot Dwarves can only move 5 squares, in or out of heavy armor. Fixed.
