With a 9th level Wizard.

The 5th level spell Wall of Sound (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateMagic/spells/wallOfSound.html), plus the 3rd level spell Rain of Frogs (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/r/rain-of-frogs). Now, Rain of Frogs says that the swarm has the same statline as a centipede swarm - meaning Diminutive. Diminutive swarms have 1500 individuals within them. Each individual then triggers Wall of Sound, for 2d4 damage within 10 feet each, and the swarm moves as one, so they all trigger simultaneously...

1500*2d4 damage, anybody?

Pretty sure the swarm would be completely dead before it got to the first 30, let alone 1500, wouldn't it?

Find a way to give them sonic immunity and you are golden!

Nice trick BTW, very elegant.

that acts as a single creature

From the Swarm subtype.

However, if that is the objection, Stone Call (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/s/stone-call) could also be used, under the "loose debris" clause of Wall of Sound.

"For game purposes a swarm is defined as a single creature with a space of 10 feet"

A swarm would trigger the wall only once.

It would be reasonable for a DM to rule the same about "a rain of dirt, gravel, and small pebbles" hitting the wall being treated as a single event, triggering the wall only once.

If you really want to eliminate any doubt about making this work, I would suggest looking for something that is clearly resolved as a distinct and separate group of actions. I never like to try something like this unless I am sure the DM will rule in my favor.

Fair enough about the swarm. However, Wall of Sound specifically states that individual objects are what trigger the wall, and as a Conjuration (Creation) spell, Stone Call creates...individual objects that all activate Wall of Sound.
