I play a Ranger Dwarf. He's an archer and has the Dead Eye feat. Is there a way to increase the range at which the dexterity bonus is added to damage? I assume it's precision based. Are there any feats or spells?
Thanks.

Crossbow Sniper feat from PHB2 makes it 60 ft with a crossbow. And adds half dex to damage, iirc.

Sniper's Eye spell from Spell Compendium makes precision range unlimited for 1 round, casts as a swift action. Level 1 assassin spell.

You mean Sniper's Shot. I'd use a Spellthief rather than an Assassin for this. Combo: Sniper's Shot, Steal Spell, use that stolen spell for your next Sniper's Shot. ;)

The above are the only non-3rd party options available that I am aware of.

Although this isn't technically what you want, you can also get Flyby Attack or Shot on the Run or any form of free/swift action movement (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103358). This allows you to move within 30 feet of your target, make a full ranged attack (assuming you have Greater Manyshot), and move away.

Having said that, keep in mind that ranged precision damage is horribly inefficient. You end up investing 5+ Feats (Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Manyshot, Rapidshot, Greater Manyshot) plus whatever resources you need to trigger your bonus damage, and get mediocre damage output in return. Just using a reach weapon and any one size increase (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7081777) gets you 20 feet of reach, and you can still flank.
