What about making a Warlock Hexblade conversion from 4e to 3.5?

I saw the title, then instantly thought of a prestige class combining EB with Hexblade's Curse.

Ill be thinking about it all day now...

Or maybe a class with curses and invocations...

Yes, even better!

A base class combination of the Hexblade and Warlock...

It will be glorious.

Something like the 4E Hexblade, so with different Pacts, Pact weapons, Minion summons and Pact transformation.

Might work on that sometime... could be intresting.

i would give it full BAB, some invocations but no eldritch blast (maybe a similar ability, but minor. Hexblades in 4E obtained Eldritch blast of 1d10, and 2d10 at level 20)

I know nothing about the 4E hexblade, but you're absolutely right: the 3.5 hexblade was *meant* to use invocations. I don't know how I didn't see it before.

Oh man. The more I think about it, the more I love it. If nobody else makes this, I think I might. I might anyway.

Take it and run, my friend! I'll hold them off.

I would give it the warlocks blast and invocations without some of them, full BAB, martial weapon profienecy, some hexblade spells, and a d8 hit die.

Maybe able to chosoe between d10 and more armor but less spells or d6 and more spells but less armor without spells that would make it better then the d10 version?

K, heres the Plan for it.

It'll have Medium BAB, Good fort and Will, Poor Ref saves. Medium Armor prof, and can use all simple weapons and three Martial Weapons. Pacts start at 1st level, and get upgrades at 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th levels. Incovattions will be slightly less then standard warlocks, but will lean more to making them better in melee.

Also, should it be Cha based? Personaly, I'm thinking Con.

Exact "role" will differ by Pact type.

First two pacts;

Infernal

1st- You gain Fire Resistence 5, and weapons you use are treated as having the Flaming Enhancement.
5th- Your Fire Resistence increases to 10, and you gain a bonus to fire damage equal to your Con mod.
10th- Your Fire Resistence Increases to 20, and your Eldtrich Stike abillity deals Fire Damage.
15th- You Gain Immunity to Fire, and Hellfire Blast as a bonus Incovation.
20th- Your Fire damage leaves deeper burns. The Bonus damage now increases to twice your Con mod. In addtion, all fire damage you do is now Hellfire damage.

Fey

1st- You gain a +2 Bonus to saving throws against Enchantment and Illusion effects, and you gain Silent Image as a Bonus Incovation.
5th- Your Bonus on saving throws increases to +4, and you gain Charm as a bonus Incovation.
10th- Your Bonus to saving throws increases to +8. In addtion, your Charm Incovation may also be used to give a sugesstion, as the spell.
15th- You Gain Immunity to Ilusion and Enchantment effects, and yours are harder to see through. Targets take a penalty on saving throws against them equal to your Cha mod.
20th- Your Illusions are hard to see through, and your enchantments subtle. They can affect creatures normally immune to them, but they gain a +5 bonus to the saving throw. Your Charm can be used to give a Geas/Quest with a duration of instanteous

Also, should it be Cha based? Personaly, I'm thinking Con.

I like the idea of a constitution oriented base class, since nearly every character needs a good CON anyway. It would make it fairly unique as well, since, besides Incarnum users, and, to some extent, Barbarians, not many base classes have major class features based off it.

EDIT: Also Dragonfire Adepts, and Dragon Shamans. And Warlocks? I don't know them too well off the top of my head.

WEll if we are already doing a 4E=>3.5 warbla- Hexlock, then why not also a 3.5=>Hexlock?
its a class id definetly use.

Ill start another thread for this.
you change this thread's name to 4E=>3.5E warlock-hexblade.

Off the top of my head, I can think of a quick and crude ACF for the Hexblade:

Cursed Invoker
Warlock and Hexblades are considered an unsavoury lot and so where you find one, you usually find the other. Years of this forced cooperation has resulted in the sharing of techniques, culminating in a hybrid version of the two classes.
Gain: Invocations (as a Warlock of their Hexblade level), Combat Casting as a bonus feat at 1st level.
Lose: Spellcasting, d10 Hit Dice becomes d8, Bonus Feats at their 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th level.

Class Features;

Eldtrich Stike (SU); A Hexblade can imbue their melee attacks with raw magical energy. This normally only applies to the first attack per round. This ability cannot be save against, but spell resistance does apply.

Least Curse (SU); You curse one target in close range. If it fails a saving throw (DC= 10+1/2 Hexblade level+Con mod), they are cursed. While cursed, they suffer a -1 penalty to all rolls. This lasts for 1 Round per Hexblade level.

Empowered Blade (SU); Select a Weapon. While wielding that weapon, you are treated as having Weapon focus and Weapon specialization with it.

Curse (SU); Your curse improves. While under the effects of your curse, they take +50% damage from all supernatural effects.

Pact Summon I (SP); Once per day, you may use lesser planar ally to summon a creature of the same type you have a pact with.

Greater Curse (SU); The penalty from your curse increases to -4, and it lasts 2 rounds per Hexblade level.

(Will finish this later. Mostly Pacts, 2-3 Paths per Pact and the Boons, and some Pact incovations)

If we don't give the class full BAB it needs a way to hit things better, or it will fall down behind other dps.

Will finish posting in the morning, but one of the Lesser Incovations lets you mimic a psionic feat called Deep Impact (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/psionicFeats.htm#deepImpact). Bassicly, you have Medium BAB, and you attack their Touch AC.

I definately agree with this. While I'm not interested in a Hexblade+Warlock (mostly because I don't like the warlock's fluff), there needs to be an invocation based Hexblade. I'm thinking the offficial unofficial Hexblade fix as a chassis and replacing the spells, curse and aura of unluck with invocations, mostly centered around debuffing enemies.

I'd love to see this. I've always liked the hexblade in theory, but never in play (for reasons that should be mostly obvious). Please, oh please, somebody more talented than I make this a real thing!

Alright, I'm officially gonna make it. "It" being an invocation-based Hexblade, still, unfortunately, not a conversion of anything from 4E (sorry edsaurus). Hopefully it'll at least be a chassis that you can easily tweak to fit what you want.

It might be a while, but I'll try to have it up this month.

Ok I'm working on a version, I'm going to post it later.
Medium BAB, more Invocations, and the capacity of making a special attack x/times per days with the Pact weapon (like in 4E) that is a Touch attack and does more damage.
