So, I was playing Dishonored the other day and I was trying to figure out how to make him into a D&D character. He's very much a Rogue/Swordsage type of character.

The Darkvision, Teleport, and Wind Blast abilities I can kind of fit into a Swordsage, but there are a few abilities that I have a hard time cramming into a character under level 20 (that isn't broken like Pun-Pun).

Some of the other abilities are...

Posession. This allows the character from Dishonored to "posses" animals and humans. You actually turn into smoke and posses them like a ghost.

Time Stop. This works almost exactly like the spell Time Stop, but how could this be worked into a character that isn't such a high level?

Rat Swarm. Lets you summon a swarm of rats. That's pretty much it.

Rat swarm is easy with Warlock, you can do it as much as you like.

Detect Life
Haste/Slow until you can time stop
Dimension Door
Summon swarm
Dominate and turn invis. Or dominate and be a ghost.

SO Warlock going into Swiftblade would be nice but that's impossible. So some sort of gish seems best since he can still fight.

Warlock 4 or 6
Eldritch Blasts (Restyled as Air Blasts!)
4:Decieve Items (take 10 on UMD for all your special magitech items)
At-Will Invocations:
1:Summon Swarm - as the Spell
2:Spiderwalk - gives Spiderclimb
4:Leaps and Bounds or Devil’s Sight
6:Flee the Scene - short range Dimension Door

Rogue 3
+2d6 Sneak Attack
Evasion
Poison Use ACF [DotU] (replaces Trapfinding)
Penetrating Strike ACF [Dungeonscape](replaces Trap Sense +1)
Hand Crossbow Proficiency - Dual Wield with a Rapier or Longsword when necessary

Swordsage 2+
Maneuver Options:
Sudden Leap
Sapphire Nightmare Blade
Shadow Jaunt (if you don't take Flee the Scene)
Flashing Sun (attack quickly)
Hatchlings Flame (chug alchohol, shoot out a breath of fire)
Stance Options:
Step of the Wind - ignore difficult terrain as you run and jump all over the place
Assassin's Stance - more sneak attack dice
Leaping Dragon Stance - crazy jumping stuff

Master of Masks 1
Assassin Mask - gives +1d6 SA and +2 to Hide and Move Silently

Lots of Drow Poison for putting people unconscious
~~~
What am I missing? Haste?
Trapsmith 1+ or a Haste at-will item
This would require Rogue to get Trapfinding and Assassin 1 to get Poison Use.
Spells:
Arcane Sight
Haste
~~~~~~

Possession is less common in D&D.

You could go into the Fiend of Possession class. You need to be an Outsider with the [Evil] subtype to do that.

Warlock->Trapsmith->Swiftblade?

Wow, I think most of these fit the bill. I'd probably use Warlock 6 / Rogue 3 / Swordsage 10 / Master of Masks 1.
