So I need to dump some spells into my friend...

At present I can cast any spell at my friend in my party and he has a 95% chance to ABSORB it *JUST AS LONG AS IT "TARGETS" HIM*.
I myself can cast ANY spell of 5th level or lower as a wizard EXCEPT my banned schools of necromancy and illusion.
I know I am going to give him Feather Fall, Fireball, and Sonic Lance.
So I need to know some other cool spells to cast at him or to have for myself.
Any opinions or tips?

Can you clarify what you mean by absorb? Do you mean he has a 95% chance of taking that spell and using it as a spell-like ability or something like that?

My own suggestion would be polymorph and haste
