Attuned gems store an arcane spell and can be triggered by creature proximity.
The gem cannot be set to trigger based on class, Hit Dice, or level, but could be set to trigger by touch or proximity to a creature of a particular type, race, alignment, or appearance.
What is not specified is how it detects these creatures.
Can it detect an invisible creature if it is of the appropriate type. If so, it would make a fairly cheap detect invisible at low level.
By RAW it just says type, would subtype also be included? Could use it to detect shapeshifters then.
