Hey guys...I am needing some help with this and wondering if it is possible.
The campaign I am in is using pathfinder, 3.5 and a very small part of 3.0 if approved by the DM with PF trumping 3.5.
So I am a archer with snap shot and improved snap shot. I am wondering if there is a way use an AO to stop someone charging me. So since I threaten 15 feet they couldn't get less than 10 feet to me. Or if I was to take combat patrol kind of the same scenario.

There's a feat for that. (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/psionicFeats.htm#standStill)

Whit it being psionic technically, the dm may not allow it...also there is a PF feat with the same name the works for adjacent squares only. But this would be what I am looking for. Thanks

While it comes from the XPH (for some unknown reasons) Stand Still is a [General] feat and thus only needs str 13 to be taken.

Its not a psionic feat at all; it was just printed in a psionic book. It is a General feat.

The problem is that PF already has a Stand Still version, which would trump the XPH version according to the guidelines you gave us. And the PF version only works on Adjacent foes (which is really frustrating when you've got a Polearm focused fighter, let me tell you! :smallmad:)

It's because Paizo is overjoyed whenever it can find a way to stealthily nerf the weakest classes in the game.

If your DM will let you, you can take Martial Study (Tome of Battle) and pick up Counter Charge to get what you need.
