Hey everyone,

I'm fairly new to playing druids and have been working on creating an excel sheet to help me easily recalculate my attack bonuses and such when i wild shape into different animals. I was just curious if druids get the animal's skill bonuses when they change forms. For example, leopards have a bunch of racial bonuses to things like Jump, Hide, Move Silently, etc. Do I get to add those bonuses to my skills while I remain in leopard form?

I think you don't.

RAW no you wouldn't, you don't gain any of the abilities of the creature except those listed under Alternate Form (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#alternateForm)

The only way I know of to get these bonuses is to take 7+ levels of master of many forms which gives you the Extraordinary special qualities of whatever you change into.

Essentially, the only things you gain from the new form are Size, Aquatic Sub type (if applicable), natural weapons, natural armor, movement modes, extraordinary special attacks, and STR, DEX, CON scores.

So there are a few changes to skill bonuses that would apply, such as:

You use your new STR, DEX and CON modifiers to skills in place of the modifiers from your original attributes.
You apply the Hide modifier from your new size, so for instance if you are now a small creature you gain a +4 to Hide.
You apply the normal +8 modifier for having a natural swim or climb speed if your new form has either of those.

Any other skill modifiers are not gained.

So for instance, the Leopard has a climb speed, so you get the +8 climb modifier from that. However, you do not gain any of its other skill bonuses.
