Hey guys, this is my first creation for on this board. This will be used in my custom world, but mostly I just want insight to see if its fairly balanced or not. Let's jump into it...

Fluff (some of this won't make sense, since it refers to some gods and events)
During the years of The God Wars, Xaphan (CE warmonger god) summoned forth many species of demons from the Abyss in order to rival the angels. One particular breed had an unrestrained desire for blood and hunted mortals for their fluid. One day, that breed of demons assaulted a weakly defended human village. Most of the mortals were slain before a wave of angels came to their rescue. However, some of the injured acquired a mutated version of the demon’s blood thirst, and they transformed into the first vampires, hunting their own kind and becoming immortal.

Tanit (NG god of angels and peace) believed that it was his fault that this new race of monstrosities came to be, which were spreading fast and increasing in number daily. The vampires were at their peak, with several thousands in number. One day Tanit appeared in front of the vampires and offered a way to break their curse and make them mortals again. Most were unwilling to lose their immortality and their supernatural powers, and mocked this idea. However a small handful accepted their only way of getting out of this murderous stage, and Tanit removed their undeath and they were atoned. These were the first of the Liberati, and although most of the effects of vampirism were gone, some remained, and now the Liberati must make a path for themselves in a world that distrusts and fear them…

Physical Description: Liberati are very similar in anatomy with humans, with a few notable features. Their skin is generally in the same tones as humans, although a lot more pale, occasionally being to the point of seeing their veins all over their body. They have fangs, though there are not particularly large and serve very little purpose, as Liberati don’t normally need to drink blood to survive and will eat normally, but however most will enter a sort of frenzy when around blood, with heightened senses being a common symptom. Their eyes are odd shades of colors, with red, black, purple and yellow being common.

Society: Liberati don’t have settlements or culture of their own, usually being nomadic or staying in human settlements. While they don’t usually fit in very well due to their vampiric nature, the longer a Liberati lives in a settlement, the more it will be accepted. As a result, most Liberati are self-dependant and and rarely trust anyone that isn’t a close friend. They get along well with half-breeds that are in similar conditions, such as half-orcs.

Relations: Liberati don’t usually get along particularly well with other races, as their scary features remind them too much of a ‘real’ vampire. Liberati tend to be solitary, defensive or stoic to avoid or supress the social dilemma. However, if given a chance to open their heart to a good friend, they can become surprisingly loyal, and if a Liberati makes a true friend, he will likely fight to the death to save her.

Alignment and Religion: Usually treated as outcasts while in settlements, Liberati need to work hard and scrounge just for survival. It is understandable if some Liberati become evil from jealousy and bitterness. Most are neutral, knowing that a concept such as law and chaos only ends up badly for them. Although Tanit created this race, most do not seem beholden to him, or any other deity, and prefer to believe in oneself rather than an outsider force.

Adventurers: Most Liberati are adventurers, either for survival, a chance to prove their worth, or to discover a place which they might call home. Usually Liberati use one’s own skill in battle, becoming fighters, rogues, rangers, or sorcerers.
