Monster Class Question

Can a charecter who hasn't taken full class levels in a monster class still take a prestige class?

Savage Species-modeled monster classes, you have to take to completion.
Savage template classes (article series on the WotC site), you can break off midway.

by RAW, it says that you can't take any "class" not prc... I was just wondering if prc's could be taken... you know like survivor which is built to be taken by a monster classed PC

Well, a PrC is a prestige class. It may be prestige, but it's still a class.
