Assuming Kobold Dragonwrought are NOT true dragons what is the point of the Dragonwrought feat? Only no aging penalties?

Also other benefits listed in the the description (http://dndtools.eu/feats/races-of-the-dragon--83/dragonwrought--748/) (immunities, skill bonuses, vision modes).

EDIT: And the kobold has scales in color of your choice :smallwink:
IMO still not bad for a feat.

Longer Lifespan. Might not seem like much, but to some RP'ers it is actually pretty special :smalltongue:

Immunity to spells that affect humanoids is also a nice bonus.

Acces to (non-true) dragon-only feats and prcs of which there are at least a few.

This is why I'd take the feat.

Seriously, it's not a bad feat, and even better in a low OP group for some role playing. The chosen Kobold. Cool.

They're not. According to a huge arse disscusion, Dragonwrought Kobolds are Demi Dragons or something like that. They only fulfil one of the two conditions to be a true dragon.

Yeah, but let's not get into that.

Dragon type is also good for Alter Self shenanigans. Dragonwrought is better than most feats.

Most of the abuse optimization I've seen using this feat focuses entirely on the character being a venerable dragonwrought kobold for the purposes of acquiring ageing bonuses without ageing penalties. A +3 to all mental attributes with no drawback is a good enough reason to take this.

Of the lesser known traits of the Dragon type is that if you have it, you automatically qualify for anything that has Dragonblood subtype as a requisite. Depending on the level up order (can't rememer if feats come before class or vise-versa) a Dragonwrought Kobold could take his first level of Disciple of the Eye at ECL 1 or 2.

Oh. That too  You take a level first and feats after that. So you must take one level in something else first.

Don't forget non-epic level Epic feats.

Any DRAGON (not true only) with the age catagory of Old or Older, may take Epic feats regardless of its level, so long as it meets any other prerequesites.

Almost every Dragon-specific option does not require True Dragon. Only the Sovereign Archetypes and Dragon Psychoses do, to my knowledge.

This is somewhat mitigated by many having Epic-Level skill requirements. Oh you wanted to take those kicking epic spellcasting feats? Do you have Epic Spellcraft and K: Arcana? No? Oh well.

There are also further feats that can be taken after Dragonwrought, such as the one that gives you wings. If, y'know, you like the idea of a flying kobold as much as the Giant does.

It's worth mentioning that some of the epic feats you can take with Dragonwrought are really nice - you could, theoretically, get the entire Deflect Arrows epic suite by level 15. Being practically immune to ranged attacks is worth it, I think.

That's what bloodlines/dusk giant shenanigans are for! :smalltongue:

But the +3 to all mental stats (with no physical penalties) is very nice and is worth taking the feat. (Also, having Dragonwrought Kobold Commoners with the Epic Toughness feat taken a few times is hilarious.)

You don't have to be Dragongwought to take the feat that gives you wings. And IMO the feat isn't worth it.
