Is there any way to improve a monster's effective CL for a spell-like ability?

the Primordial giant template from SoX gives +1 to the CL of all its SLAs, and its a +0 template
EDIT:
SoX stands for Secrets of Xen'drik

Most SLAs increase with HD. "If no caster level is given, its caster level is equal to its Hit Dice."
There's also Ability Focus which is a feat that specifically increases DC of one special attack (which usually includes SLAs) by 2.

The SLA in question is specified to have CL 1, and I need a CL increase not a save DC.
Primordial Giant doesn't work for what I need as it doesn't have the Giant type.

Hmmm...That leaves quite a few less options, I'm not actually sure if there is a way, what exactly is this for?

Need to CL 5 to qualify for a feat and was trying to avoid using actual casting classes.

Dungeon Mag. 116 (p44) has a feat called Practiced Magic, which is basically Practiced Spellcaster for SLAs. 4 Ranks in Spellcraft (and an SLA) for the prerequisities, and it should grant your SLA a CL of 5 by 5th level.

The only RAW way I can think of off the top of my head is the Paragon template from the Epic Level Handbook, but that is probably a little much.
Edit: That Dungeon Mag feat is nice.

Hmm a shame it is from dragon (which is banned). Guess I'll have to use another way.
