I wanted to create in DnD 3.5 (and/or pathfinder) something like this:
http://www.bladeandsoulwiki.com/Blade_Master

A Wuxia warrior with no (or light) armor, with a monk feel, in the game the Blade Master uses even elemental attacks from his sword.
I tought about a Pathfinder Monk with Monk of the four winds (and maybe quiggong monk), with the Whirling Strike feat.
Other toughts? Level 20 build.

Swordsage should hold you over fairly well, or some manner of Duskblade if you want to use elements other than fire.

I think that there is a feat from Eberron that allowed you to choose a martial weapon to count as a monk special weapon. Between that and Monk of the four winds you could do it.

And while not everyone likes the idea, you could just go with swordsage. There are lots of very good homebrew disciplines around (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255468) to costumize with.

Nor surprisingly the Blade Dancer prestige class from Oriental Adventures is perfect for this.
