Hello everyone, my name is Kasanip!

After finishing [Kasanip's Sketchbook] thread, I was encouraged to continue, and so made [Kasanip's Sketchbook 2] thread.

This is link to Kasanip's Sketchbook 1 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139582). It has art from 2009 - 10/2012.

Actually [art] means [sketch]. Most of the time it is not beautiful finished art. Usually, it is drawn in 30 minutes or less...a habit of working in class or at lunch.

The art here will be drawn on my computer. I use [IllustStudio] and [Wacom Bamboo Comic].

I'm kind of a shy person, nice to meet you.

Some characteristics that can be noticed, are to do [Music Sketch]. The meaning is [listen to a song and to make a sketch of such an emotion].

Mostly my sketch is about characters. Of course if there is a request, please do not be shy to make a post! However, please understand maybe I won't understand, and not guarantee to make it. Sorry, my English isn't good.

Probably post rate is to depend on mood. But sketch is only hobby, so it can be relaxed. But this time, try to become more skilled is a goal, too.

Please relax and enjoy!

Hey, Kasanip.

To start things off with more art. Remember in Niek's game we were planning an A support between Sheron and Shinobu, would you be willing to draw a romantic picture of them, such as them hugging, or Sheron kissing Shinobu's hand?

Thank you! It should be said, Avatar is of new character [Yfa Keter Ain] for [Dieselpunk] game 「What's Left of the Flag] (Playground 5) (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259914). She is Lynks. To be technological advance race:

It is [Dieselpunk], so some player are difficult to imagine magic and combat. So a sketch is made. Maybe it is Eris to pose.

Thanks Kasanip.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I guess I do have a request.

I've been liking the latest interactions between Madeline and Falcon, particularly how she touched his face and his hand. Maybe a sketch depicting either of the two scenes?

I am happy it is liked. Falcon is more difficult to draw without hat, it was realized.

Happy New Year!

Hello everyone. It is now 2013, to have come so fast.

2012 was a very bad year. Many important treasures like family and friends were lost. To think about such a past, probably forum post can be seen such a feeling for me. To become very depressed and stressed and busy, life was not enjoyed very much. A vacation was took after examinations were finished. Sorry to disappear m(_ _)m.

I want 2013 to be a good year. If I am lucky, study abroad program can be joined. But I must practice English very much.
I made some challenge goals last year but nothing was completed.

This year I want to draw very much. It is admired Thanqol to make a sketch everyday. Maybe it is too much for me, but I want to try such a style.
I want to try a new western game system (always I have not tried very hard to learn such an RP system). I tried to teach a game, but actually it is impossible for internet game play, I think.

I don't want to be like a shadow like last year. I don't want to give up anymore.

Do you make such goals like this at beginning of next year? Please tell me your thoughts! Thank you very much for your friendship and always support comments. 今年もよろしくお願いいたします!

This year...this year I have a lot of things I want to do. I worry a lot that this (http://xkcd.com/1154/) is the inevitable outcome, but that's true for everything. So, things I want to do this year:
~Finish my high school diploma
~Practice drawing
~Re-learn how to write
~Start (seriously) learning Japanese
~Learn to cook

Really though, at the end of the day I'll be happy if I accomplish anything I can be proud of.

...also I resolve that if I'm going to stay on this forum, I'll have to get a less grumpy-looking avatar.

Happy New Year Kasanip!

It seems that many of the people that I know found 2012 to be a bad year, so perhaps 2013 will be a much better year. I definitely hope so!

I think the new year is a good chance to look to the future. This year I didn't try to make any New Year's Resolutions. Last year my resolutions got stopped by events in my life, which I found upsetting, but many of the goals I started on midway through the year have worked out well for me. The future is always uncertain, but I think that can be a good thing. As long as we try our best all the time, I'm sure we can make 2013 into a great year!

Thanks for a year of drawings too. Even in the bad times your drawings helped fill me with warmth and peace. I look forward to seeing more in the coming year!

I hope you have a great year in 2013!

She is griffin knight. Original was broom knight, but became changed of suggestion of other players. However, drawing Griffin is more difficult than broom.

Thinking of Mystletinn, somehow theme is strange birds become loved by my characters.

Class Change Madeline

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af275/umbrellako2/kura2_zps041b8e1d.jpg

Sword user is popular class. Probably it is not personality of Madeline, I think. But she can become a cool character like this.

I know a little bit about Pathfinder. It's somewhat similar to D&D 3.5, the both of them being D20 systems and Pathfinder commonly referred to as D&D 3.75. The two systems are close enough mechanically that you could play one class in the other, perhaps have some numbers tweaked here n' there, and it would more or less run the same.

I'm actually going to be playing my first Pathfinder game on the boards actually...

Ooh, Pathfinder. I've played it once before, and it was similar enough to my usual system (D&D 3.5) that I only needed to learn a handful of changes to pick it up.

To tell a secret, it was made the promise of New Year's that I wanted to learn new western trpg this year. Even if February was slow time, it has been learned rules of Paizo company's [Pathfinder]. It seems interesting, so I want to try sometime! Do you know this game?As said, it's pretty much the same game as D&D 3.5; some parts are better (skills and combat maneuvers are simplified; the paladin class is greatly improved), some parts are much worse (spellcasters are even more overpowered compared to non-casters; there are feats which don't actually do anything). You can typically use 3.5 material in PF and vice versa, and it's recommended you do so; Tome of Battle is probably the 3.5 book most worth looking into.

If you have trouble getting your character to do what you want, post here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59) or at Minmaxboards (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?board=24) for advice; D&D 3.5 is the main focus of both sites.

EDIT: Also, I don't know in what form you're viewing the rules, but psionics (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed) are basically MP-based magic and/or ki-users, and better balanced than the standard classes (most third-party publishers are terrible, but Dreamscarred Press are probably the best writers around). They're worth checking out.

As for Pathfinder, I've given it a try myself. I personally think that it's an improvement above D&D 3.5e, but not in the way that it tries to. I'm personally indifferent as to play 3.5 or Pathfinder and more interested in different, possibly obscure systems.

I'm actually going to be playing my first Pathfinder game on the boards actually...

Maybe we can play together sometime!

おめでとう!Time to kick back and relax! I look forward to your future works! :smallwink:

Thank you! Sorry it is slow post.

As said, it's pretty much the same game as D&D 3.5; some parts are better (skills and combat maneuvers are simplified; the paladin class is greatly improved), some parts are much worse (spellcasters are even more overpowered compared to non-casters; there are feats which don't actually do anything).

Thank you for advice. I don't know so much about specialization of style. Of rules it is being read Japanese (http://www29.atwiki.jp/prdj/) and English (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/).

Heh, I can't remember my second avatar's flaw, and you've had the game alot longer then I have. (I think)

Yes, it is always chosen without thought for me.

Hello Kasanip! Welcome back, we kept your seat for you.

If you are looking to play Pathfinder, I would reccomend you start with a Rogue or Barbarian.
Rogue is much better than it was before, with many new tricks to choose from. Barbarian is simple and effective, without being boring.
Both will help you get familiar with the system and how it works, without overwhelming you or leaving you feeling like you do not contribute.

Once you have become familiar, you can try more complex classes like Wzard or Druid. They take constant planning and work, but are most powerful and fun.

Yes! Such a picture was sketched while to think about Avatar Battle thread. Because Mary is [Caller], to use clothes of weapons called [tsukumogami]. Such a thought like [boots] and [socks] and [cap] etc. However, Mary is very peaceful, so this idea was stopped.

Pathfinder rewards specialization and punishes generalization even more than it's parent system.
You are almost guerunteed to be the same class the entire game.
It is a good idea, then, to pick something you will be happy with for the whole game.

Out of interest, Kasanip...

I know that in Japanese, some words that sound the same are written differently and have different meanings, which can give English-speakers trouble ([kami] being a prime example of this).

And since I know English has its share of words like that, which are spelt differently and have different meanings but are said the same...

Are there any words like that in English that give you particular trouble at times? Just curious.

...I'm also slightly curious as to whether Japanese has any homonyms- that is, words that are said and written the same way but have different meanings.

Yes, there are many times such a word cause problem for listening and speaking. Maybe hardest is [to]. Using such a word it is "want [to]"
"be going [to]" "go [to]" are different, and also [too] and [two]. It can be understood, but to hear many times becomes difficult to understand direction.

For example, the sounds of this sentence: "I wanted to go to the movie theater to see the two o'clock movie, but too many people are going to come so I'll give my ticket to you."

Even if writing it can be seen, [L] and [R] sounds are difficult to hear.

...I'm also slightly curious as to whether Japanese has any homonyms- that is, words that are said and written the same way but have different meanings.

Because of kanji, it is not so much this problem like English writing. However, such a joke of sound called ダジャレ is very popular and common, especially comedian. It makes a joke of similar sound words. You can see some here (http://www.biwa.ne.jp/~aki-ina/gyagu.html).
Maybe some easy ones:

オオカミがトイレ入っておお紙がナイ
占いの本は売らない
車がくるまで待つ
虫を無視

I don't think I can make good such a joke in English.

Happy Birthday~!

On L and R sounds;
This is the most common problem for eastern speakers learning western languages. Has been for at least a hundred years.
The biggest way to tell the difference at first, is to watch the person's mouth as they speak.
L sounds, the mouth pulls more flat, and the tongue moves. Usually to between the teeth.
R sounds, the mouth purses a little bit. The tongue does not move, unless the person is spanish :p

on "To". "To" is a word denoting intent. Like a prelude for a destination. "I Want to" means you wish for the following to occur, as that is the destination. "Go to the movies", the movies is the destination.

"To" and "Too" I can see as very difficult, since they sound the same, and "Too" means "Also". "Too" will be at the end of a sentance most of the time. "to" will almost never be at the end of a sentance. (A good example would be "If you want to") I hope that helps.

I thought it was an interesting pairing because I associate "fertility" with creation and "fire" with destruction, so it's not an obvious combination to me. It makes sense when I think of it more as a cycle of fire burning down to ash, which yields fertility for life to grow again.

This character's style was borrowed from several video games heroines liked by me. I wonder if all the influences can be seen easily? Currently to play this character in [Ironheart] series. Her name is Lukina.
Unlike normal Kasanip style to play [support character], I began to enjoy [heroine] characters last year very much. So I want to play more characters like this.

Thank you! Yes, I want to try to play more heroic characters. Recently it has been boring to make such a character.

I hope a game can be joined soon, too. However, it was realized that <recruitment> for most games is not liked by me. It is very difficult to coordinate with other players, to make sure classes are taken properly, to connect story. It seems every time is individual thinking only of self's character. "I want to play this!" "claimed this first!" and such a thing.

Lukina reminds me of Lucina. Both wield Swords, both slay evil, there names are close together.

Yes, her name is borrowed from that character. It wasn't known English spelling at the time character was created.

However, it should be said Lukina uses a sword, but usual weapon is a halberd. In the game, only her sword has been recovered, so it must be used for this picture, I thought.

Recruitment is definitely a pain. The issue of course is that people wait so long in between games that all they can remember is their cool character ideas that they would not otherwise get to play rather than how the party fits together. It's understandable but annoying that the best way to play what you want is to yell louder and quicker than everyone else.

That said, one needs to speak up for themself. If you are easily cowed, how might you play a character that rarely flinches in the face of evil?

Your best chance of course is to have one of these chuckleheads in this thread DM since I think most of us "get it".

Oh, it's not even that- I fundamentally don't get the mindset that leads to a 'villain' character.

I could, maybe, play someone who takes extreme actions for a good cause. Otherwise? Nope.

Just_Ice
2013-05-18, 08:04 AM
That's a bit silly, Horngeek. Do you mean to say you've never been in a situation where you wanted something so bad that you were willing to trample others, or would turn a blind eye on the plight caused by your actions? Never been bullied or teased to the extent where you thought up some very nasty revenge plots that would make your mother faint?

Evil characters think like that almost all of the time. Their lives have been shaped by thinking like that, thinking "me, me, me". Some of them realize that they do it and can turn it off when they try. Some of them are addicted; they either enjoy the thrill of being punished for evil or seeing others suffer (even if it's a guilty pleasure, they can't stop).

Some lack empathy, or don't understand that what they are doing is really wrong. They don't "get it" and feel when they're punished that they are a tragic hero. Some villains take the "survivalist" mindset or the "looking out for number one" mindset way too far.

Very rarely there is a villain who has never once paid for their crimes. They make believe they are divinely blessed or even a god among men, or just not understand that their own actions can have lasting consequences and therefore don't think too hard about such things.

That's the basics.

It is very difficult to coordinate with other players, to make sure classes are taken properly, to connect story.Could you rephrase that? The part about classes, I mean. As for story, the traditional start to a D&D campaign is "You are complete strangers all sitting in the same tavern, when a mysterious person stands up and says they want to hire some adventurers." (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouAllMeetInAnInn), so...

It's understandable but annoying that the best way to play what you want is to yell louder and quicker than everyone else. This depends on how specific the premise is, and how much it restricts the kinds of characters that would fit.

Most GMs, particularly for D&D, just say "play anything". Part of this is because D&D classes, feats, etc. have some fluff built-in, which stays the same in any game of D&D you play. Plus character-building in D&D feels more like a puzzle, so a player can feel proud of something they put together well, and want to show it off. In a game like M&M you have to do most of the description yourself, which makes it harder to get attached to a build.

Then you have games like FATE (including Dresden Files RPG), where your character description is the biggest part of your abilities, and part of character-building is writing your history with other members of the group.

I think it is a little of cultural difference, too. However, it is correct that to join forum games is a competition. So to enter, players much fight each other to make party together. It's not a good system, I think. The only time it is successful is if all players [accommodate] the same theme.

That said, one needs to speak up for themself. If you are easily cowed, how might you play a character that rarely flinches in the face of evil?

Yes, probably it will be such a comic style.

Could you rephrase that? The part about classes, I mean.

For example, Dungeons&Dragons is usual style of party is to have [Wizard, Fighter, Rogue, Cleric]. Of course it can be changed the classes and such, but roles of such a class should be filled.

To use example, Night Wizard! (http://www.fear.co.jp/nw/) divides such a [role] and [class], to have [Defender],[Attacker],[Healer],[Caster]. So class can be chosen and role still chosen.
It seems Pathfinder uses such an [archetype] for this purpose sometimes.
However it is seen often of any game type sometimes other players refuse necessary class.

Often of Fire Emblem forum game it is <Cleric>, for example.

Creation of personal data should happen and relate to the group. The GM's duty is to help prepare and accommodate such a process. However, it is true that Dungeons&Dragons and Pathfinder has no mechanism for this purpose.

It is a bit of a problem with recruitment on this forum. I think the major problem is that with most games, the GM and players don't already know each other, either IC or OOC.

So, you either have to admit players based on a 'first come, first served' basis or based on who writes characters the GM likes the most, both of which have an element of competition. It's the biggest thing I don't like about PbP games, truth be told.

On Evil Characters: I'll note I don't particularly want to get into the mindset required for an evil character either.

If you selfishly only think about your character construction, how might you play a character who works together in a party?

Usually, people do take the rest of the party's choices into consideration, but only thinking about one's own character doesn't necessarily mean that the party doesn't work together. In many games, the fact that the characters are individuals and are not made only to maximise the teamwork provides the basis for the role-playing.

In other words, making a character without the team in mind means that the team has to think about how to use their strengths and work together despite their weaknesses.

Those are the basic guidelines, but they are not required to be filled. Since the game has a DM, who controls what obstacles the party faces, a game can be made to fit the style that the players have, rather than having to fit to one particular style. If the party consist of rogues and wizards, the game may focus on intrigue and stealth, while a party with mostly fighters may focus on warfare and battle.

However, most parties still have members who can fill the roles to an extend. A rogue has the best abilities for sneaking and lock-picking, but everybody can learn those skills to a degree, for example. Considering how many games have more than four players, there will usually be someone in the team who can fill every role if they need it.

If you want to play a game that focusses on filling out the roles and balancing the team, that can certainly be done and many DMs will be happy to have such a game, however. It's just that D&D does not require anyone to stick to a predetermined model if they don't want to.

Creation of personal data should happen and relate to the group. The GM's duty is to help prepare and accommodate such a process. However, it is true that Dungeons&Dragons and Pathfinder has no mechanism for this purpose.

That would be because they are not made to do that. The games are not based on the characters having to have personal data that relates to each other at all. Often, the characters start as strangers, meeting for the first time and having to work together for a common goal despite not having personal data that relates them to each other. They can be related, though, and that is also a good way to play. It's just not the only way.

EDIT: Apologies for rambling about Dungeons & Dragons. m(_ _)m I didn't have much to add about your art that had not been said. They are all amazing, particularly the Legend of Zelda* ones and Lukina.

However it is seen often of any game type sometimes other players refuse necessary class.

Often of Fire Emblem forum game it is <Cleric>, for example. That's how D&D was supposed to work, but it doesn't really work that way. For example:

Fighters are supposed to provide leadership, spot enemies approaching, and defend their allies from attack, but they don't actually get any abilities which let them do so. (there are other classes which do)
Most of D&D's healing spells are ridiculously weak. In videogame RPGs combat is long, and there are spells which can restore 100% of a character's hp. In D&D combat usually lasts 3-4 turns, while enemies inflict damage twice as fast as it can be healed. The person with healing abilities would be helping more if they did other things in combat, and only healed between fights (or in emergencies). Or you could just use wands and potions for healing.

Basically, none of the classes are really necessary, just traditional. And it's possible to make almost any class fill any role, though some require more effort than others. Eg. if a spellcaster specialises in summoning, binding and barrier spells ("battlefield control"), then he'll be much better at defending his allies than a fighter. The crusader class is mostly a fighter type, but when he attacks an enemy it heals his nearby allies.

And as Keveak said, an unusual party composition just means you can run a game with a different focus. It's hard to run an intrigue-based game with a traditional party because fighter types often have poor stealth and social skills, so their player will be left out. Likewise you could run a game set in a wizard college, where everyone plays a spellcasting class.

There's a difference between being selfish and being assertive. If you keep quiet every time, and you accept that it's a bit of a race for roles, it's silly to complain. You can speak up (often giving a couple options) without necessarily being selfish.

As for the evil mindset, it's very useful to have a number of tools in your repertoire, especially in the case of being a DM or GM.

:smallconfused: I remembered that...

Maybe the scenario is remembered, but the villain probably wasn't, I think. If TechnOkami remembers his name, I will be surprised and happy.

Sorry, to respond to all of Dungeons&Dragons comment was tiring. I want to talk in this thread more often.

When reading Dungeons&Dragons comments, it seemed different scenario like <non-standard play> were used. However, my comments were about <standard play>.

Usually, people do take the rest of the party's choices into consideration, but only thinking about one's own character doesn't necessarily mean that the party doesn't work together. In many games, the fact that the characters are individuals and are not made only to maximise the teamwork provides the basis for the role-playing.

Yes, I agree. However, my expression was opposing to Just_Ice's comment. To accuse not assertive people to be cowardly is not fair, too. Maybe I could be more assertive, it is true. However, it doesn't mean I can't play heroic character if I want. Like this, selfish people maybe can play teamwork in a party. It is difference of reality and fiction, isn't it?

Those are the basic guidelines, but they are not required to be filled. Since the game has a DM, who controls what obstacles the party faces, a game can be made to fit the style that the players have, rather than having to fit to one particular style. If the party consist of rogues and wizards, the game may focus on intrigue and stealth, while a party with mostly fighters may focus on warfare and battle.

Of course non-standard play is possible. However, mechanisms of Dungeons&Dragons seems to make this difficult. I am not an expert of Dungeons&Dragons, but <CR system> seems strict about how GM constructs challenge for party. Non-standard play is possible, but it is more difficult for GM, I think.

I understand of course any character can be created in such a system. Because personal data is not included, it can be envisioned easily one's own concept. It is not bad.
However, also it is not helpful, I think. Always the player characters must relate to each other. Maybe they are friends, maybe they are strangers. But there must be connection and reasons for unite as a group. If this cannot be agreed upon, team doesn't work. Game system does not help this stage.

That's how D&D was supposed to work, but it doesn't really work that way. For example:

Fighters are supposed to provide leadership, spot enemies approaching, and defend their allies from attack, but they don't actually get any abilities which let them do so. (there are other classes which do)

The crusader class is mostly a fighter type, but when he attacks an enemy it heals his nearby allies.

The explanation of Prime32 was [contradiction]. Somehow I think Prime32 is agreeing with what I said? Even if class is different, roles must be filled. If party of fighters, for Dungeons&Dragons it means potions or wands are necessary at sometime. This probably means [Craft] and [Use Magic Device] skills are necessary. Maybe [Disable Device] and [Knowledge:] skills are necessary too. Also such equipment should be bought. If the selfish players don't think about this, it will be trouble. Fighter who uses [Cure] wands is <Healer>, Fighter who uses greatsword is <Attacker>, Fighter with shield is <Defender>, etc.

This is perspective that players decide style of campaign. Of course in usual reality games, players and GM cooperate about this decision. I think that is good. Many infinities of styles can be done this way. However, most forum threads started by GMs is recruitment for game concept already created.

There's a difference between being selfish and being assertive. If you keep quiet every time, and you accept that it's a bit of a race for roles, it's silly to complain. You can speak up (often giving a couple options) without necessarily being selfish.

You are correct that if nothing is said a cooperation cannot happen. The example of often giving a couple of options is tried to do for such a game. However, it is rarely seen other players try this.

The catgirl with the robotic arm I particularly like because she kinda reminds me of my OC, Yumi.*

As Keveak notes - the squirrel is adorable, it makes me want to hug it. Granted I love squirrels to begin with so maybe I'm a tad biased there...

Err, point of all this is "you do good work".

*Yumi lacks a robot arm, but otherwise it's a fairly similar character model; needless to say, I like!

Thank you! However this type of cat-like character is [Lynks] race. Arm is not robot. It's called [Ie=ga device]:

While the tool-belt is the standard of equipment for humans, the Lynks use a set of technological devices built in arrangement to be accessed easily on the arms. Like a tool-belt, it contains many useful items under an ornate and decorated lightweight mithril armor that can even defend against small arms bullets. Using yesod crystal resonance field, the Ie=ga can store small items in such a [pocket dimension], making such a pocket on uniform unnecessary.

The clothing style of Lynks is to for [practical use]. Often to be [accentuate form] style, it is to allow agile and flexibility. It can be said that cultural difference, and not embarrassing, but maybe surprising for other races. Such a uniform is to also be crystal resonance and mithral weave, and to take 200 hours to make. It can be said to be the best [Light Armor] in the world.

Because Lynks soldier has such a strong equipment and training, it is not surprising why they were a terrifying world power.

Cute sketches. I especially like the witch in the upper right corner who seems to be talking about something really serious, and the green-haired girl. And the squirrels.

Yes, it is Eris who is always this kind of [cross] type witch. Even if she is [sorcerer] type, nickname was [the white witch] (because she has white hair). Probably she would not like squirrels, I think.

Green haired girl is character design, however it is not decided. Somehow the mood of the game cannot be understood, so style cannot be chosen.

Who's the new character?

Thank you! Everyone was missed, too.
New character is being made for [dieselpunk] game.
She is [Dream Hunter] (夢使い), member of [BA9 Organization] (I like pun, but maybe it cannot translate for English). Such organization is to protect [Reverse World] and [Mortal World]. But usually she is a student at Magical Academy. Her power uses [Lunar Veil] clothes, [Dream Gloves] and ability of shadow magic. Maybe a little like [Shadowdancer] class.

It can be seen a little in sketch different ideas.
Originally character making was [S-Rank Thief] who was cursed by [mummy] to youth. It was inspired by [White Fox] character from Fri's 2011 game (http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af275/umbrellako2/564222i76.jpg). However, already there are [adventurer] and [magic curse] character. Maybe it was similar to Eris, too.

Appearance was decided, but she cannot be related to other player characters somehow. Unfortunately the game theme wasn't approached properly by me, so probably concept can't be used.

Dat Victorian-era hat

Good to see you again, rock that TOEIC!

Thank you! I don't know if it is Victorian-era hat. It was seen for old uniform designs, and it was cute.

However, time period of game is supposed to be [Dieselpunk], so perhaps that is such a similar period. Of character, she is such an [old-fashioned] type, probably. Or thinks such a hat is cute.

I think of designing characters, always there must be one accessory to make character appear more interesting. Also it is easy to explain "why is such OO valuable treasure?"

Often it is chosen the head for me. For example Kamome (goggle headset), Eris (accessories), Non (bow ponytail), Mystletinn (compass rose sword seal), Yfa Keter Ain (Cat Ear and Radio).

Even old characters like Tomoya (forehead seal), Hazuki (三角頭巾) and Momo (hair clip).
Maybe unusual exception is Mir. However, [artifact] is [book], so it is important for that game.

Great to see you back Kasanip! I'd say don't worry too much about waiting for the results of the TOEIC and just do the things you love to take your mind off it.

The ranking of Blue was achieved, with score of 760 points, so it was just barely achieved!

I am very happy, because such a score is necessary to become an English Teacher. So, my future dream can be realized!:smallsmile:

It can be said that such a difficult goal was chased by me for a long time. There were many suffering days and times, and to experience somehow internationally with OOTS friends those moments of recent years.

Somehow, this [sketchbook] is more like [diary] after this fashion. However, maybe paint and sketch of emotions, it is such a record of happiness and sadness and pain and hope. Can such a record of changing [child] to [adult] be read in this fashion?

It is a pensive thought. Of course there are a lot of mistakes, and I am embarrassed.

However, there is a lot of pride for me, too.
It must be said, such achievement could not happen without the time of OOTS, and support and help of OOTS friends. Thank you very much for your always support.

Now it is a summer vacation. After with all of my heart studying during June and examinations of July, there was no taking it easy. Listening leisurely to fan humming and cicada crying and staring at the four walls. Suddenly pen of the tablet became too heavy to hold properly.

That's great news, Kasanip! 780 is a good score! I never took TOEIC personally, but I took TOEFL, so I knew that you must be able to do it, with how your english is here! Hopefully, you be a good english teacher!

And is that a picture of evasion skill from DnD? That reminds me, do you know that if you're lucky you can evade a fireball explosion even if you're in a box? Haha, I wonder how can it be visualized.

Very much like the sketches. They show the movement and emotions of the characters very well and look very well done. Particularly the final piece is very impressive. Love how the colouring is used.

Pretty good, but there's that odd bit above the nose that sort of looks like another nose almost. I'd also recommend using darker lines to make the hair more distinct so it stands out against the domino mask.

It is a 760, so I am happy.
Yes, it is [Evasion] skill from DUNGEONS&DRAGONS. Somehow idea of [Shadowdancer] class was very interesting recently. Of course when standing in shadows, anything can be evaded.

Yes, it has some unusual style of the mask. Because I don't know how to draw masks, it was done mediocrely.

Very nice hair on this one. Her right hand seems a bit undefined though. Perhaps draw the other fingerless glove here since her fingers could be curled back?
Yes, it was music sketch, so must be finished in 10 minutes. If it was to be finished, I think that hand should be finished, too.

Yes, always that game and a certain character are appearing sometimes in my sketchbook. I don't know why it was drawn.

Yes, there isn't a background for this sketch. Just thinking of character design.

Your new avatar is really funny, who is she?

Anyway, I haven't drawn anything for a very long time, that my art thread has drowned already, but I just drew something about you, kasanip.

Amy from Suisei No Gargantia reminded me of Kamome a lot. Back then when I was watching it I had a dream where I live in Gargantia as a NEET, with my brother who works as a dentist, and for some reason, Kamome/Kasanip works there as a doctor. It's a strange dream.
