[PF] Spell Help

Hi there

My current game is a level 7 Gestalt PF game. We started out at level 5, with a single class, and we now have been given a gestalt class. There are a few catches, namely the gestalt class is st in stone, no multi classing it, no prestige classing it, it is 1-20 whatever class the GM gave us. I started out as a ninja, focusing on TWF and subtlety(Backstory is Spy for the government turned fugitive). I have been given a shadow bloodline sorcerer for my gestalt class. My issue is I never play casters, so I am at a loss as to what spells I should choose.

I was wondering if any of the more experienced spell casters out there have a good starting point. I would like to have some damage spells, but I also would like to have some utility spells up my sleeve too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can currently have up to 2 level 4 spells.

Unless you're using further house rules, a 7th level shadow bloodline sorcerer gets a couple of 3rd level spells (plus deeper darkness), not 4th level spells.

You might consider twilight knife (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/t/twilight-knife) and ki leech (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/k/ki-leech) to complement your ninja side of the gestalt. Marionette possession (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/m/marionette-possession) might be fun. Elemental aura (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/e/elemental-aura) might save you from full attacks (use electricity). Fly or gaseous form would be useful.

Also consider your lower level spells, especially as you might well cast them with silent spell (a possible bonus feat for your bloodline; +1 spell level) when you're being sneaky. Animal aspect makes you a better ninja, invisibility may be better as a spell than a ki power, scorching ray combines well with sneak attack.

Well, your right about the 3rd level spells, I misread the spells known chart, darn.

Twilight Knife is very nice, in that it is my own little flanking buddy:)

Ki Leech is less use to me since I have not run out of Ki points yet.

Elemental Aura is very nice.

Marionette possession is odd, what would I us that for?

How about some lower level spells? What else would you take for your 0-2 level spells?

Something you can sneak attack with! Scorching Ray, for example.

For first level, shield will be a very handy defensive spell as a Two-Weapon-Fighter.
