I'm looking for ways to quickly produce cheap and effective constructs, potions, magical items, mundane items, etc. Any ideas? Feel free to go nuts on any source.

Answer(s)? Tippyverse, Tippyverse, Tippyverse, Tippyverse. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222007)

Mundane items is pretty easy, ranging from just having some Wizardly-type cast Fabricate a bunch to actually building an assembly line (mechanically, you have the 'factory workers' Aid Another as the parts go down the line to boost one dude's Craft check so he can hit a really high accelerated crafting DC.)

Magic items is difficult to do without setting-breaking applications of the rules- D&D's world assumes an artisan approach to creating magic, and any means of 'cheap and effective' production of magic items that is sensibly applied gets you to Eberron at least and all the way to a full-on Tippyverse at most. Which is not necessarily bad, but it is a very different world to the anachronistic Renaissance/Medieval-Stasis stew that makes up the 'standard' D&D world.
