I looked at the crafting cost reduction handbook(the link eludes me), and I was wondering what kind of discount/experiences you had with crafting. How much of a discount have you practically gotten?

50% for making it yourself, another 25% off for eberon crafting feats? Do you guys get any better than that?

30,000 *.5 * .75 = 11,250
200,000 *.5 * .75 = 75,000

And did you generally find it worth it for you to craft?

Thanks in advance - this decides several of my possible up coming wizard feats. :)

As a wizard? Probably not worth it, unless you're the devoted crafter for the party. They rock for artificers and the like, but you could instead be getting metamagic or something.

On a full caster i usually pick up a single craft feat (craft wondrous items) if i can. Usually about 60-90% of a pure caster WBL goes into that category.

The eberron extra discount is not worth the slot unless you are a dedicated crafter, but the 50% discount for crafting items yourself is worth the crafting feat and the small xp loss (wich is usually offset in a couple encounters) if you have the time to spare during your adventuring.

Do DMs usually let you take the 10% reduction for making it usable only by your alignment or class? It seems like something you'd apply to every item you can unless you expect multiple people in the party to use it.

(Looks this up.... 10% for skill and 30% for alignment)...

Genius, PURE genius!
