Have fun, put approved character sheets in here.

I'll try to have the map up this weekend, unless something happens that I'm not able to control.
If you need sprites pm me since my memory is horrible and I tend to forget what needs to be done.

Personality
Hale and hearty, unlike so many of his peers, Edward eschews many of the courtly trappings that would have been due to an heir to the throne of an entire country, such as himself. Instead, the prince is quite happy being a lumberjack making a honest living, relishing food which his royal peers would turn their collective noses up at as 'peasant fare', and marking the end of the day with a stiff drink and song at the local tavern with his buddies.

Which is not to say he is a lout ignorant of court etiquette; if need be and in the right context, the Crown Prince can dress and act appropriately to his station, and often does so whenever he is back in the Palace. Still, he otherwise holds no airs about his supposed station in life, and those who know him have remarked that Edward would probably be happier as a common man, making his honest livings in the woods.

Background
Secluded from public knowledge to protect him from would-be assassins, the young Crown Prince could have spent his early years as a cloistered youth, whiling out the years until the passing of his mother to take the throne of Erreran.

However, even at such a young age, Edward had a penchant for forceful persuasiveness, and it was this that helped him convince the Queen to allow him to spend his cloistered years in a much different context. Arguing successfully that a life such as he suggested would hone his body and familiarise him with the tools of survival and self-defense he would eventually need anyway, Edward left the Court to be taken under the wing of a grizzled mentor, took the alias "Edward Black", and started his new life as an apprentice to a respected lumberjack in the country.

Through the years, young Edward grew into a strapping young man, strong and tough, and skilled with the use of the axe to chop into the hardest wood (and, if necessary, flesh and bone). Those years in seclusion had also shown Edward how the citizens of Erreran lived under the yoke of the Queen, and the young man was beginning to develop ideas on how he could rule better than the reigning Queen.

Then one day, he was called back into the Palace for an undisclosed reason...

Background
Leiko is from a merchant family in Grealla that deals mainly with the trade of wool and other textiles. With three younger brothers and sisters and parents who were out more often than not on business, it quickly fell to her, the eldest, to take care of her siblings. It was a role that she, privately, enjoyed, though the time that she spent learning the ins and outs of the family trade were by far the times that she cherished most.

Several years ago, a high ranking member of the guild died and there was a large furor over who would succeed their position. Her father attempted to run for the office, but one of his rivals within the guild planted false trade logs in his company and tipped the local magistrate off about a ‘dishonest’ merchant. When this came to light, her father was publically humiliated and many of the family’s clients cut off business ties with them. The case eventually went to the courts and after a long legal battle, longer still when it was uncovered that the judge of the lower court hearing had been bribed to elongate the case, her father was exonerated. By this time though, the office had already passed into the hands of another and the black mark on their family’s reputation combined with the exorbitant court fees meant that family fortunes were practically nonexistent.

In order to soften the drain on their finances, the family took out some loans and apprenticed their younger children to various other parties. Being the oldest and having some education in the trade, Leiko was ‘loaned’ out to another member of the guild. Though not treated poorly, she often finds herself being sent on time consuming errands to scout out markets outside of Grealla. The pay is nice though and, when able, she sends money back to her family to help refinance their enterprise.

Leiko is currently in Ererran to scout the neighboring country’s textile markets to see if there are any obvious opportunities for the guild to expand.

Fire Affinity (In character, it makes the most sense)

Backstory:
Son of the previous ruler of Asidith, Reizmaq's father was disgraced when King Kaven defeated him and took the crown. The man's fall from grace spurred him to throw away his life, idling away in inns with barmaids. So it came that Reizmaq was born, a few years after Kaven came to power. Reizmaq was thrust into an orphanage, never to learn of his parentage. He rarely spoke and he became distant from the other children. One of them threatened him with a knife, and scarred him. To defend himself, Reizmaq took up swordsplay whenever he could get away from those who would stop him. The one thing that was unmistakable was that Reizmaq had his father's talent for magic. He found a Fire tome hidden in the orphanage and quickly learned to control flame, and tormented the other children with it before being kicked out of the orphanage. Alone and frustrated, Reizmaq seeks his larger purpose. Or, at least, something fun to do.

Personality:
You know how you always have that weird, quiet kid that sticks to themself? That's Reizmaq. He speaks in a creepy monotone. But the difference between his monotone and most monotone, is that his is cheery. That makes it even more off-putting. (Think Pharos from Persona 3) He has a strange obsession with the word kind. He has a strange affinity for fire, but it almost seems like it isn't enough for him. Like it is too easy for him to control. Who knows what will happen if he gets his hands on something darker...

I'm trying with his sprites, but I have finals coming up so I have little time and it's not easy to get him to look just right. That, and I have other problems going on.

Personallity
Bonk is a proud and somewhat haughty thunder elk with little patience for what he sees as the petty concerns of humankind. He may warm up to people eventually, particularly those who share his contemplative nature and who gain his trust on the battlefield. He is frequently chewing cud, even in human form, and seems to have developed a fondness for the habit beyond the basic needs of his physiology

Appearance
Brown hair and yellow eyes as per the thunder elk description. I'm thinking a goatee and a severe expression to make him look a bit more reminiscent of his true form and to highlight his disposition. Maybe something based on Morva.

In all likelihood, I won't be recruited on this incarnation of the IC thread, but whatever.

Oh and by the way, he'd probably be flattered to be called an elk. After all they're one of the more physically intimidating of the beast tribes and those horns sound like they'd be good for reckless charges which are pretty much Axel's specialty.

History:
Axel grew up on the streets of a town in Elukor known as Herran. He was orphaned at a young age but instead of this alienating him from others or forcing him into thievery, it instead made him grow closer to the people of his town. The men and women of his town took pity on him and made him part of their families. They invited him over for dinner, gave him a place to sleep and made sure he didn't get into to much trouble. Axel would never stay in one house to long, for fear of him costing its residents too much gold, so he hopped from house to house and this way he got integrated into the very nature of Herran. He became such a part of the town that he gave himself the last name of Herran, seeing that he as an orphan did not really have one.

Axel, wanting to repay the town decided to become a guard so as to protect the people he loved so much. However the only weapon readily available to him were nothing more then sticks really but this hardly stopped him and he quickly began training wit his new weapons. Unfortunately, despite his growing prowess, as he was only a child he could not become a guard. Instead he took to protecting the town in the best way he could, which usually boiled down to stopping brawls between others kids by threatening to beat them with a stick, or by actually beating them with a stick. Sometimes he would get a little ambitious and attack those who were stronger than him such as pickpockets or travellers who had said one unkind word too many about his town or his family. At these times the guards would have to bail him out but these defeats didn't phase him and he kept training until he eventually became a guard and substituted his stick for a much more practical lance.

Personality:
Axel is confident, brash and more than a little cocky. He loves a good fight and is constantly training to increase his skills. Axel loves the old myths and legends of heroes and as a result a lot of his personality has been shaped from those stories. He believes in honour, chivalry and justice and he is convinced that with enough determination and resolve he can overcome any foe.

Axel values loyalty incredibly highly and he sees betrayal as the lowest of all evils. Axel has a deep commitment towards his family and would do anything for any one of them. Axel also cares deeply for those he considers friends, and Axel can consider those he has met for only a few minutes to be his friends although he may show his friendship through liberal use of snark.

Appearance:
Axel is tall and well built. He has short brown hair and dark blue eyes. Axel is somewhat tanned and he wears light leather armour that is shaded dull red. Axel also carries a small, lightweight shield to use along with his spear.

Edit: Took 1 pont off skill to add 5% growth to strength.

Background:The Sonjuin family boasts a proud heritage as knights dating back hundreds of years, serving the Ererran royal family faithfully since the country's founding, or so their stories say. As a healthy and fit child of the Sonjuin dynasty, Mina is fully expected to carry on with this legacy, and as the youngest of six Sonjuin siblings, Mina has had a lot of pressure on her to perform as admirably as they. With over a decade separating her from the oldest of her siblings, the elder siblings have had a lot of time to perform admirable and honorable deeds, and they have all begun making a name for themselves.

Perhaps as a way to distance herself somewhat from her more impressive siblings, Mina opted for a rather unorthodox mount for an Ererran knight: A pegasus. While she personally volunteered to head into the mountains to find one herself, as a young squire, this task was most certainly beyond her, and one of her older siblings took it upon himself to do so. And thus, even this act of attempting to escape the shadow of her older siblings simply made them stand out even more.

Feeling the pressure even more, Mina has begun to apply herself wholeheartedly to her training and duties as a squire. She gets little rest and often overworks herself, but she refuses to let the fatigue get to her. Mina plans on catching up as soon as she can; she can't simply wait until she's older. She'll become better than all of them, as soon as possible, so that people stop referring to her as 'the youngest Sonjuin' and start calling her by name. Maybe she'll even get a cool title like some of her brothers.
Personality:Mina doesn't know the meaning of the phrase "give up". Or the word "moderation". She puts her all into everything she does, with everything she has, and has worked herself sick or hurt herself on more than one occasion due to her extreme efforts. Patience is definitely not one of her strong points, either, and Mina finds it difficult to get along with people who squander their own talents and abilities.

Perhaps in part because of her heritage, Mina has never really had any close friends. Many view her as hard to approach due to the prestige her family holds, and she certainly can't approach those she is supposed to serve and befriend them. Even if they wouldn't find it offensive, it's just... not something a squire is supposed to do. Those fellow students who are able to overlook rank and prestige are often intimidated by her extreme work ethic, and since Mina has never really sat down and just relaxed, she rarely had a chance to simply stop and chat for a moment. As such, her social skills are a bit lacking, and while she wouldn't be opposed to a friend or two, she just doesn't know how to make them, and doesn't think it's worth the time to try to learn, only to get shot down.
Appearance:The Soujuin family is marked by their dark hair and eyes, and Mina has most of this. Her father's black hair is certainly hers as well, but from her mother's side, she inherited blue eyes, which makes her stand out a bit from her other brown eyed siblings. Mina keeps her hair fairly short, but not so short that she can't enjoy the feeling of the wind blowing through her hair as she flies through the sky. A guilty pleasure of sorts. While Mina's face typically carries a bit of a harsh expression, it's not because she's angry or anything. She's just tired of always being pressured. Rare is the person that sees a genuine smile from this girl, though.

Thanks to Ravena for Mina's lovely sprites. Much appreciated~

Backstory:
Orphaned or abandoned, she knows not. What she does know is that since she could walk, probably even before, she's been roaming the streets with a pack of kids. Most of these kids had weapons: knives, sticks, slingshots. She had magic.

Not "harness the power of the universe to blow the other guy up" kind. She's natural-born enchanter and illusionist. Some say she had the blood of the beast tribes. Other say she's a dragon in disguise. She has no idea herself.

She makes a living as a street magician. Pulling rabbits out of hats, making things disappear... she does it all, really. And when her show's over, your pockets will most likely be emptier than you'd expect. Sleight of Hand is her specialty.

Personality: A trickster, a showboat, and easily bored. Always looking for adventure... and new people to steal from.

Personality
Confident and easily provoked, as expected, Shisa has fire-like style. She is proud and playful, to think of [battle] is [play]. Such a fire-like spirit certainly will get in trouble if left alone. But she is curious about humans. Can she behave seriously? Maybe all hellhound have dark and dangerous side too.

It is inappropriate to make fun of ears or tail. It should not be pulled. If complimented, quickly her approval will be earned.

Background
Shisa is a Hellhound, to come from Hellhound territory. She fell into a river in a storm, and became washed away. She was found in human form, and was helped to recover by kind family. Recovering now, she is trying to find her way home. But also is curious and excited to explore and experience such a world.

I do have half a mind to have Edward give the order, in his capacity as the Crown Prince, to have the guards collar and execute Reizmaq and Luke on the spot for lèse majesté.

The 'Black Prince' sobriquet does carry a reputation for pragmatic brutality after all, and this is as good an opportunity as any to start building the same kind of rep for our Edward. Besides, at least fifty applicants, the Queen can always pull up a couple of substitutes from the reserves. :3

Okay, preliminary plans for Turn 1:

Merlinus Richard will deploy at E26.

Reizmaq deploys at D26, Waits.

Edward deploys at G25, Waits.

Leiko deploys at G26, Waits

Acanous deploys at H26, Waits.

Luke deploys at F25, Waits.

With 4 MOV each, we can't reach any enemies on the first turn, and moving forward will just give them a first shot we can ill afford. Best if we force them to come and fight them on our own terms.

Re: The Queen
People may be well aware that the Queen is a very unlikeable person. That does not mean you say so to her face, or expect her to make allowances for YOUR behavior.

There are four kinds of people who can get away with calling out a queen on her attitude, to her face, in her castle.
The King, Emperor, or anyone else suitably above her in station.
The Pope equivalent, or anyone else with both moral authority and who cannot be disposed of without causing a holy/civil war.
The Court Jester, whos job it is to poke fun at the royalty.
an invading lord, general, or rebel leader who has an army at his back and is going into the castle as a *Conqueror*.

You might get to be 3 or 4, pending the plot ":p

Sorry, about that it was either that or give them starting stats of 0 across the board. (Which I felt were too easy) If it makes you feel any better, they'll be given growths equal to tier 1 classes, and not trainee classes. (Recruit for reference have 265% growth)

@Acanous Not even the king. Except in a "honey, you're becoming evil again." sense. The queen has the power in this country, not the king.

@Capture While you try to capture your Strength, Skill and Speed are halved. If you bring the enemy down to 0 Hp, they are considered defeated and not killed (For plot purposes), and you get their entire inventory. (Except for beast tribe claws/fangs, and beast tribe magic)

Not quite. Reizmaq or Acanous could start C26, move to C25 and attack the choir boy, but that would be a long, drawn out battle. (On the other hand, it would be easy xp for Luke)

Yes, I'm aware of this. The difference is, the Queen is an NPC. NPCs can easily be bastards, and be called out for being bastards. For the most part, little thought goes into the creation of an NPC relative to the thought that goes into the creation of a PC. Likewise, an NPC often has less emotional value to the person playing them. Calling them out for being a jerk evokes less of a response from their "player." Keep in mind, the Queen's intended characterization is something along the lines of "manipulative bitch." She serves her purpose. Reizmaq's characterization isn't supposed to be "the brat with the fire."

How does this look?

EDIT: I'm pretty sure the capture mechanic in this game is essentially whittling the enemy's HP down to 0 as in normal combat.

EDIT 2: Grassy's latest iteration is worth a shot.

They won't attack us until we enter their range, yes?

Acanous [I26], equip [Thunder]; wait.
Reizmaq [C26] (can't believe I spelled that right on the first try), equip [Fire]; wait

Edward [E25]; wait
Leiko [H26]; wait

I assume Edward's axe is 1-range, because I don't think you'd give us a 10MT 1-2r weapon with such nice base accuracy yet (or would you?). Plan is to draw out Choir Boys and abuse WTA against them. Physical hitters move into range next turn and chop them up. Rezzy-boy takes 2 damage and doubles back for 2x2, so I don't care too much about moving him onto a forest tile (Edward takes 4 and I want him out of range because he doesn't retaliate).

----------

Assuming that enemies are going to move when we enter their range only, the enemy phase should look like this:

Choirboy #I can't tell but I think it's a 1; the one that's on a forest on the left side... that guy moves down 2 tiles (forest cost = 2mov) to [D24] and attacks Reizmaq; I expect everything to hit (72% vs Reizmaq, 87%x2 vs Choirboy)

Choirboy #...2? (the one on K22) moves down to [J25] or [K26] (doesn't matter) and attacks Acanous; I expect everything to hit (76% vs Acanous, 107% vs Choirboy).

No other moves.

----------

Player Phase #2...

Reizmaq moves up to [C25] on a forest tile and goes another round with the Choirboy - should have done from 6-8 damage by this point.

Edward moves 2 tiles (3mov) onto a forest tile [D24] and takes that capture swing (10 damage, 60% hit). I'm not holding my breath on this one, but hopefully it works out.

Acanous trades damage with his Choirboy - has done 4 damage at this point

Leiko to [K25] and doubles down the Choirboy (92%x2 for 7x2 will take 4 damage on the retaliate), because nobody uses light magic and so I don't care. I want her on that tile because it baits out the Journeyman on [L21], who will probably hit on the enemy phase because 57% isn't really all that low.

I dunno, it's a bit passive, and I haven't accounted for Luke/Richard's moves. We could potentially put Reizmaq on the [C25] forest tile on turn 1 and then have Richard shove Edward over 1-tile to the left so that he can get to wherever the Choirboy decides to his Reizmaq from, which might be good.

Ramblings of a nerd
As you have no doubt figured out by now, May is a simple translation of a Mass Effect character into Fire Emblem. Now that might sound rather unimpressive, but May holds a special place in my heart. After I finished Mass Effect 3 (details and spoilers here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=13723090#post13723090)), I began to have the urge to transplant her into other games, and continue her story of awesome. Skyrim, XCOM, and perhaps more as the years will go on. The simple fact is that May Shepard is a soul constructed of pure greatness, and deserves to be in more than one game series. This, however, will be the first time that I’ve used her outside of a video game, and coming up with original dialogue for her will be interesting. Her age in this is younger than any other game I’ve had her in, and that creates an interesting (to me) inconsistency in the sprite. In the Mass Effect timeline, May did not dye her hair red until her early 20s, and the armor came around in late Mass Effect 1. However, the hair and armor are so ingrained into my mind that I cannot imagine her any other way, so I shall simply declare “Screw it, it’s a JRPG” and roll with it.

Preliminary plans for next Turn;

Luke to G24, heals Edward.

Edward to J25, attacks I25 Journeyman.

Should Edward hit, the I25 Journeyman should be left with 3 HP. Therefore;

If Edward hits, Leiko attempts to Capture the I25 Journeyman. Otherwise, Leiko attacks I25 Journeyman.

Acanous to H25. If Edward fails to hit and Leiko hits, Acanous to H25 and attempts to Capture the I25 Journeyman.

Reizmaq to E20, equips Fire.

Oh, right. Let's go for a wholesale revision.

Luke to G24, heals Edward.

Edward to J25, attacks I25 Journeyman.

Should Edward hit, the I25 Journeyman should be left with 3 HP. Therefore;

If Edward hits, Leiko Acanous to H25, attempts to Capture the I25 Journeyman with Aspernatio. Otherwise, Leiko Acanous to H25, attacks I25 Journeyman with Aspernatio.

Preliminary plan for next Turn;

Reizmaq to K22, equips Fire. I want him to draw aggro from the N19 Hunterkid, and have a means of countering.

The idea here is to draw the Q26 Journeyman out from the mountain tiles, where he'll be easier to capture.

Edward to N25, attacks O25 Hunterkid for the kill.

Leiko to N24.

Luke to L25, heals Acanous.

Acanous to N22, equips Thunder. This should block a direct path for the N19 Hunterkid to range on Edward.

Some slight tuning to Ascaloth's plan

Leiko [N25] - double the hunter kid
Luke [L25] - heal acanous
Acanous [L23] and equips [Thunder]
Edward [L25] - [Visits] the house
Reizmaq moves up 1 tile [G21] and equips [Fire]

Leiko will take the journeyman's hatchet (0.54x5) instead of Edward (0.8x5) and Reizmaq will solo down the G15 hunter kid before rejoining the group.

Sairyu
2013-01-12, 05:16 PM
Luke [N26] - heals Leiko
Leiko [P24] - 'captures' Journeyman [P25]; (1x6, takes 0.62x5)
Edward [O25] - 'captures' Journeyman [P25]; (0.8x12)

Reizmaq [G20] - attacks Hunter-kid [G19] with Fire (0.9x7)
Acanous [L22] - attacks Hunter-kid [L21] with Thunder (0.88x8)

Luke might get take a hit from the journeyman if Edward misses, but that's the price to pay for feeding EXP to Edward. If we want to be safe, Edward attacks first (normal attack) and Leiko either doubles down the Journeyman if he misses or captures it if he hits.

Penguinator

No, F19. I'm not standing where both Hunter Kids can reach. Together, they can down Reizmaq.

Also, your damages are wrong. Reizmaq and Acanous both have 6 power with their respective weapons.

And then, I know it's not really great in-character, but Leiko can solo the Journeyman if she doesn't go for a capture. In which case it would be better for Edward to go upward and attack the Hunter Kid. No sense leaving one to hurt us more when we can take him out now.

In fact, we could have Edward go up and attack the Hunter Kid and have Acanous join in the fight against the Journeyman. Edward can take out the Hunter Kid by himself.

And heck, if we really want to capture them, what are the capture rules? Str gets taken out of the equation? Is that right? If that's the case, then Edward can still capture the Hunter Kid, his axe has 10 Might without any strength behind it. And if that's what we want to do, we have Acanous go after the Journeyman before Leiko does. Sure, he takes a counterattack, but it won't kill him, and he even just gained a point in Def. And if he misses, then we have Leiko attack without attempting to capture. She's even got 108 hit against the kid, it's not like anything bad can come of it. Axeboy even has 0 Crit.

Yeah, I read it wrong.

What are the capture rules? I want to see a hard copy.

Okay, hard copy. It's an option you can choose in place of attack. (No trying to capture on the enemy phrase)

For the purposes of the battle your strength/Magic, skill, and speed are halved. (Round down)

Should you manage to knock an enemies hp to 0 while capturing you get their entire inventory. (With the exception of natural weapons, and Beast tribe magic.)

In addition if you want a sympathetic boss to live on a kill boss/defeat all enemies mission, you have to capture them

Is that clear? Do you need me to explain anything?

Leiko attacks the Journeyman.

Sairyu
2013-01-14, 11:10 PM
We'll get the other archer out of the way next turn anyways and it's not like there're any other enemies that we could potentially be killing then (next turn) anyways. There's no opportunity cost involved in capturing the Journeyman now and a Hatchet is a far better reward than an Iron Bow which nobody can use. Furthermore, it's a better distribution of EXP and we can always capture the (not dead yet) Hunter Kid next turn as well.

Edit: Going for a capture on the hunter kid necessitates that Acanous does not attack this turn though, or tries to capture on the retaliate (not sure if possible?). We take more damage but get both captures. Luke has healing charges to spare though and honestly, more healing just means he gets to his real job faster.

Since you're moving him adjacent, Acanous will do better here with his sword than with Thunder; better ACC% and damage.

It does use up one charge from his exclusive Lord weapon though, as opposed to a Thunder tome which can be replaced later on.

Sairyu
2013-01-28, 03:03 AM
Acanous doesn't do enough damage with the thunder tome to ensure that a second hit from Leiko hits will kill the pupil. The forest tile that the pupil is on puts means that she hits on 85+ (rather than 95+), so a little bit of caution there. Besides, 46 uses goes a long way.

Class progression: Tier 1: Mage (Water), Tier 2: Sage (Water+Earth+light+staffs... though the last two don't need mentioning), Tier 3: Ach-Sage (EVERYTHING)

Personality:
Luxcaelus described in two words would be "Light blind*." He believes in peace and good, of course, and he acts on what is "good" so impulsively that he often does not realize that his actions will have long term consequences. He is the kind of man that would dispose of a vicious dictator and then leave to fight some other injustice in the world, letting the country he just threw into chaos self destruct, only to come back later to take out an even more ruthless dictator that only rose to power because of his actions. He is often a loner, and he is perfectly happy if no one remembers his name. He does what he does to create good, not fame.

When interacting with people, Luxcealus is tranquil. He has a sense of driving motivation to his words, but comes off as a reasonable guy.

Luxcealus is a combination of two latin words, lux (meaning light) and cealus (meaning blind, in a more ideals or innocent manner than literally blind)

Background:
Originally from the country of Grealla, Luxcealus was "adopted" from his parents by an old sage, a masterful earth magi named Galreo. The agreed upon price for the two year old, a fifth son of his merchant father, came out to be 1000 gold pieces and was only that high because Luxealus's father had made the shrewd observation that Galreo was looking for an heir, not a regular slave. And so it was that Luxealus adopted Galreo's name and lost his freedom in the same day.

For fourteen years Galreo treated his slave-son like a true son, teaching him the ways of magic, how to read, write, speak and present himself in court. He gave the young man hundreds of books about honor, magic, knights and other stories, seeing Lux's obsession as just the harmless childhood fantasies that most young men, including himself, hold before the world showed its true colors. This, coupled with his downright cruel treatment of the other slaves, was Galreo's greatest oversight. Teaching Luxealus about poisons, antidotes and healing staves was his deadliest mistake. Lux poisoned his master for his ownership and treatment of the sage's other slaves, breaking Galreo's curing staves and destroying every last antidote the old man had. Then Lux left his adopted father to die on his knees and choking on his own blood.

A few years have passed since that day, five to be precise, and during this time Lux became a wandering brigand/ adventurer, fighting injustice wherever he found it with the help of some of Galreo's former slaves. They convinced him to wage a private war against nobles and slave owners, but after a particular mission where Lux had to infiltrate the house of one of his targets, the young mage began to doubt the mission of his companions, as he found that even though they were both slave owners and nobles, there were members of the family who were themselves not evil. Rescuing a young girl from the attack that came shortly after he had arrived and being forced to kill one of her brothers in the process (Possible PC opening for a future player here), Luxealus abandoned his companions and moved on his own quest to protect the good and innocent.

(The in-game version (That little thing that in the GBA version pops up when you right-trigger over their name) of his history would be "A young man who was the son and slave of a powerful mage. He fights to bring justice to the world and has a tranquil demeanor.")

Quote: No man should have to power or will to just buy someone like they are a toy."

Yay! I hit the double everything speed! (Except the boss)

Edward moves to K19 and attacks the Choir Boy. (86% chance to kill)
If Edward misses, Reizmaq attacks the Choir Boy with Fire.
(Alternatively, we could have Reizmaq attack the Choir Boy, but Edward needs the XP, and if we sent him north, it would leave him open to attack from three ranged attackers)
Luke moves to P21 and heals Acanous.
Acanous moves to P18 with Thunder equipped to draw the Choir Boy (73% to deal 2 damage; Acanous counters for 3 damage) and the Journeyman (78% to deal 5 damage; Acanous counters for 90% to deal 6)
(Alternatively, we could put him at P19 and only draw the Choir Boy)
Leiko moves to Q19.
If the Choir Boy is dead, Reizmaq moves to P19 (P20 if Acanous moved to P19)

Might as well capture the Choir Boy, Edward only loses 4% to hit and Reizmaq can't miss. Gold in our pocket and all that.

Fair enough. I guess I didn't consider it because we don't have a light user, yet.

Acanous

Draw 'em both, Ac can take the hits. It'll speed things up, and we need a reason for our healer to get more XP.

We have a surprise update for you!

Also, can anyone get in contact with Grassygnoll, he hasn't posted in over three weeks (Although he's posted in other threads) and posted in Whambamsam's game even though I sent him a pm.

If I haven't heard something by next update (Anywhere from wednesday, to sunday) He's out.

As nice as Acanous' level was, it would have been outrageously helpful if he had gotten Speed...

Reizmaq is also at the point where he can kill Journeymen and Hunter Kids by himself, which makes the game harder for him. :smalltongue:

Acanous stabs the Choir Boy. (Capturing him is too much of a luxury. 96% chance to hit for 10 with Aspernatio)
Stop the update if Acanous misses.
Reizmaq moves to J18 and captures the Journeyman (on that note, is there a reason that the latest Journeyman used a Fighter sprite when Journeyman is one of the few trainee classes that actually has an in-game sprite? :smallconfused:) for 92% chance to hit with 5 twice.
(If Reizmaq misses, stop the update)
Edward moves to J18 and captures the Journeyman. (If he misses again, he's screwed. And so are the rest of us) Or, takes a vulnerary. Depends on how willing we are to place our map objective on the lord that just missed. :smalltongue:
Luke moves to P19, trades with Acanous so his Thunder tome is equipped, then heals him. Leiko rescues Luke.
Or, we have Luke heal Leiko and she captures the Journeyman, but eats ranged attacks from the other Journeyman and the Pupil.

Because he's on steroids. He's on the school's football team, and this is what they need to compete.

No you may not have any :smalltongue:

Let's have Edward go for the capture. I've got a good feeling about our luck this time. :3

Very well. Let us see what fate has in store.

I mean, how many attacks in the mid-8X% range can he miss, right?

Enough. :smalltongue: But we'll go with that, unless Ascaloth objects.

Yes, go with the capture, because why not?

So at this point, Grassygnoll is gone. It's been over three weeks since his last post, he's been posting intermittently in other Fire emblem threads in that time frame. I sent him a pm saturday, and Sairyu (at least) talked to GG about FoC, and GG changed the subject.

So we have a couple of options.

Option 1 Someone else on the recruitment list takes over Luke (I'll send them the character notes)

Option 2 Someone else on the recruitment list makes a new healer and joins in next map.

I guess, vote for which option you'd prefer.

Also happy perfect level up Ascaloth!

I always like seeing that.

I'll go with whichever option; 2 is preferable for me though.

----------

Leiko to [P17] - capture Journeyman #4 (can't miss)
Acanous - takes Luke, drops on [P19]
Reizmaq to [J15] - attack Wind Pupil [J16] (0.94x4x2)
Edward to [J17] - capture with hatchet (6) if Reizmaq hits twice or with Stalwart (8) otherwise
Luke (put down)

Damn, that was nice. Although, I do notice Edward didn't lose the Hp from the Pupil hitting him.

And this is basically what I figured for the plan, so no complaints.

Option 2. Much more fun to play your own character than someone else's.

Fixed, and okay. At this point I'll pretty much probably ask recruits who wants to join in early with a healer.

Luke will be staying till the end of the map.

I wonder if Grassy didn't like it that I had Edward knock Luke around a bit too much. :smallfrown:

Anyway, awesome; perfect level up AND hatchet for Edward, he's a lot more useful all of a sudden.

The plan looks good, I'm hoping Edward gets a heal soon though.

And Option 2, of course. New characters played with passion beats someone else's leftovers any time. >_>

On the contrary, Luke's quite the slapstick-oriented clown. I've just been juggling a lot this week.
