I was sure I saw a magical effect you can add to your ranged weapons which created its own ammunition for it, so you don't need to supply your own.

Can anyone give me a source for that?

Well, the Energy Bow (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ask/20061227a) does it, and is widely regarded as awesome. Not sure what the exact thing you were thinking of though.

Not really an enchantment, but there is this:

Quiver of Anariel:Quivers of Anariel appear to be typical arrow containers
capable of holding a score of arrows. However, the quivers automatically
replenish themselves with standard or magical arrows, such that they
are always full. Some quivers also create arrows made of special
materials, such as adamantine, cold iron, or alchemical silver.

Once an arrow it taken from the quiver, it must be used within 1 round
or it vanishes.

Moderate conjuration; CL 7th; Craft Wondrous Item, magic weapon, minor
creation; Price 28,000 gp (standard arrows), 29,000 gp (masterwork
arrows), 32,000 gp (+1 arrows), 44,000 gp (+2 arrows), 64,000 gp (+3
arrows), 92,000 gp (+4 arrows), 128,000 gp (+5 arrows); Add an
additional +6,000 gp for adamantine arrows, +4,005 gp for cold iron
arrows, or +200 gp for alchemical silver arrows; Weight 1 lb.

Don't ask me where I got it from as I can't remember. The costs are all correct tho.

Sadly I can't see the Wizard's website, as it blocked on my laptop.

Also, a bow wont suffice because my character is going to use a Pistol as his weapon. I should've added that to the OP.

By far, the best ammunition enchantment is lucky. Infinite bullets is no big deal, really.

I don't really care about how much grit my character gets, and infinite bullets is required to fufil the character build as I'm making Jackie Estacado.

In Pathfinder there is the abundant ammunition spell (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/a/abundant-ammunition) which can give you infinite ammo for a short time (one minute per CL).

You may ask your DM an item that do the same.

Under the rules for creating magic items, you could get it for 4000 GP.

I might be able to turn that into an enchantment for my revolver, with the abundant ammunition appearing in the empty chambers of the gun.

Also because it's worth 4000 to place on a wonderous item, it would probably be +1 on a weapon as it is more focused and I'll add the limitation that you still have to to the action to reload the weapon.

If I were the DM, I would allow the enchantment to reload your guns as a swift or free action. That wouldn't be OP.

I've already got rapid reload so that isn't necessary.

You're looking in the wrong place.

Ptolus Campaign Setting: Demon Gun. a +1 pistol which produces infinite ammo and can be used for as many attacks you have BAB for. Can twice a day produce an unholy bullet. It even looks like a demons head.

incidentally the same weapon I had planned for my own incarnation of Mr Estacado.
