How to connect a ps3 controller that was connected to another ps3?

My ps3 controller wont respond to my ps3 it keeps turning on my cousins ps3 ( cousin came to visit and dont know why he brought his) i grabbed the usb cord plugged it in and it work but i want it wireless everytime i unplugged it, doesnt respond.

You need to reset the controller first.

Press the reset button on the underside on the controller, plug it into your PS3 with the USB cable then press the PS button on the controller. Your system should boot up and the controller's wireless connection will be remapped to your system.
