So there is a pick pocket who is making the lives of people in the city miserable. now if its just one person or multiple people they have to be going somewhere with the money after they take it... insert my idea here.

i want to put a few copper in a coin purse on my belt as bait in hopes who ever is taking money will...take it... now i want a way to follow or track the person who took it. This is where i ask for help what item magic or mundane can i put in the purse to track this guy or guys back to where they are operating from.

Turns the coin into a bugging device.

simple solution could be to have your parties wizard/sorceror to put an object of personal value(signet ring,amulet, an arcane mark on a coin) inside the coin purse, cast locate object and as long as he isnt in a led lined room your good to go..

derrrr i forgot about arcane mark lol. i like the listening coin too could also come in handy..hmmmm.
