@V: Those two are by far the most obscure, although the Greek and Latin probably would've fazed anyone else. (Words like 'Troiae,' 'Italiam,' 'Latinus,' or 'Lavinia' might still allow someone unfamiliar with Latin to figure that one out, but the direct Greek would require at least a basic understanding of the language.) The first is the opening line of Joyce's Finnegans Wake, and if it seems to make no sense, well... yes. The last is the opening to The Eye of Argon, an... interesting little fantasy novella that I'm sure you could easily find via internet.
