Hello, I am a member of TEKDice and we are working on a new tool called the Monster Mixer. If you want the long description click here. (http://tekdice.tumblr.com/post/37041303631/hello-world)

The Monster Mixer will allow you to generate monsters/encounters and roll anything that you would need to roll for it (attack, fort save, etc.). Currently we only have 3.5e dnd monsters (MM1, because of the constraints the OGL puts on using content) in the database but if interest grows and we can continue working on it, we will add more monsters to the database, and we will be open to suggestions of what other versions/game system monsters we should add next (currently pathfinder is next up for being added). The main things we need help with right now are.

1. To find out how many people would be interested in the Monster Mixer

2. Beta testers so that we can work the kinks out of the system before we try to release it for real

So please let us know if you would be interested in the Monster Mixer, and sign up for our beta. (http://tekdice.com/beta/)

The beta will be going on in the first quarter of 2013, so this is just us sort of testing the waters and seeing if there is interest, and we will notify you when it is out if you sign up for the beta.

If you have any questions feel free to ask them here or send me a message, another member might also show up to help answer questions too. You can also look over the discussion on reddit by clicking here. (http://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/145s7e/beta_testing_for_the_monster_mixer/)

Feels like your sort of just remaking the wheel

I'm interested and I signed up for the beta. Will there be a feature that enables every user to add monsters that are not OGL? That'd be great and perfectly legal.

We're planning to make an interface that will allow people to enter in any monsters that are not already in the database. That will be a function that isn't going to be immediately available, but we certainly do want people to be able to do so.

As far as the remark to re-inventing the wheel -> show me a program that makes interactive monsters and doesn't just spit all the numbers and data out. As is said in the long description, we're looking to make DMing easier by minimizing the amount of rolling and math a DM has to do in order to run monsters.

Sounds cool, I'd beta test it.

I'd like to see a monster generator that has an option where you can have higher levels of optimization with "as the book" the book being the lowest level of optimization.

@Arcanist->
We're already looking at advancements built in to monsters as part of the program, so you don't have to just use straight stock book creatures. Once the program is up and working we are already looking towards applying templates to monsters to allow for further advancements. First step for us is to get the basics up and of course expand from there, it's all just a matter of time as we implement all the various steps in creating/upgrading the program.

I meant actually optimizing the monsters like instead of them having toughness, them having improved toughness. The most optimized creature in the Monster Manual has to be the friken Solar and it's only saving grace is that it has 20th level Cleric casting.
