Well it's actually fan-made, just distributed by Capcom.

NOW it makes sense. Still a nice move distribute it. But I doubt they would do so without an ulterior motive. Fan points maybe? Cause this crossover would spread like wildfire anyway, even without their help.

I've heard (but might not be correct) that the Fanbase is rather split on this... between Capcom endorsing someone else's work, rather than making something Megaman themselves, and Capcom acknowledging a project only because Street Fighter is in it, it seems some people will find something to nit pick at.
