So I created this Base Class, and thanks to all those who PEACHed my work, I managed to re-work the class using all their suggestions to what I think is a vast improvement.

The reason why i'm posting is, I haven't received any feedback on my re-work, (I don't know if i'm allowed to re-post for the same homebrew or not :smallfrown:) But i would really like some PEACHing done to my re-work of this class (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16116765#post16116765). It's a base class for 3.5

As always, I'd be willing to PEACH any and all homebrews in exchange for some feedback, provided the request is 3.5 (not too familiar with other systems). Thank you.

I'm working on a near completely wis SAD frontliner with a large enough pool of utility abilities that he can function relatively well alone, and that melds better with a party behind him. Now, he still lacks a level 20 ability, and that is a large part of what I come to the homebrew forum to find help on. He is the Spirited Blade (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16196239#post16196239), and for a review of him, I'd be happy to look over your legendary warrior.

I have a class that's not quite finished but I'm planning on incorporating some pretty cool at will abilities. Right now I need some suggestions as to custom feats, skill tricks, class features, and at-will abilities. I'm planning on it being similar to a warlock, except more melee based and closer to a bard. You might want to post the link for your homebrew in the thread. There are several of us who turn off signatures and even avatars for the sake of mobile browsing. It makes it a bit more difficult to find the links when they're just in your sig, and impossible when you remove that sig link later.
Edit: Also, your sig link doesn't point to the first post in your jester thread.

Courtier (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=304975): A noble/aristocrat class worth using, hopefully even by PCs.

Morphic Claw (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=306674) A year old base class contest entry I was never happy with, has 2 martial disciplines to go with it.

The other one I'm interested in asking for PEACHes for is in the current Base Class Contest and I'd feel bad asking for it here until that is done.

Ah, then you aren't making a language, you're making a sort of cipher. Written words in a language is really not much of in the grand scheme of language. Alright, well I'll look through your posts anyway, and see how I can help, and we'll go from there.

The Specialist's Harmony ability is interesting, in making all the "take a penalty to get a bonus" feats a total gain, but I feel that it reduces their utility somewhat. With Harmony, for instance, you can no longer do a Shock Trooper Power Attack charge (though arguably, that's not a tactic you probably want this class to take anyway).
Combat Finesse itself is something I think has been lacking so far in the options for martial characters; I like it. However, Opportunistic Flurry is really similar to Cleave and I think the fighting style it encourages could use a little more differentiation from Power Attack-based styles, especially since the Specialist has a d8 Hit Die and thus doesn't want to be adjacent to nearly as many opponents as a Power Attack barbarian would.
An extra attack for free is quite good; I can see many people taking Specialist up to 4th level and just dropping it there.
The critical hit focus of many of its lower-level abilities makes me a little wary (probably because my dice hate me). In particular is the Power ability, which becomes worse and easier to save against the more you optimize increasing your crit range.

I didn't see this until now; apologies.

I'll note that the way Harmony is worded means that someone could just make a charge attack and add +5 to their AC during the process anyway, but without the loss in attack bonus. Also mind when considering Combat Finesse that its feat tree can be taken by any character, though the same type of people who would take it may well usually be the same ones who adopt the prestige class. I'll have another look at Opportunistic Flurry; I think I have an idea there.

I might change Power to my backup, which was a flat percentage chance of stunning if a critical is scored. Thoughts?

I'm working on it. It is a lot to get through.
The only suggestion I have right now is to cut down on the text a bit. Fluff mixing with rules text makes the rules critiquing take a long time (And I'm not a fluff critic.)

Alright ben-zayb, I suggested some alterations to the Stride abilities. Hopefully they are of some use. The all good base scores and d12 hit dice were deliberate attempt to try and make this class a good mundane defender without resorting to supernatural or otherwise magical abilities. A good number of its abilities are predicated on using readied actions and thus falling back in the initiative order over time can be a side effect of using this class. The rest of the class borrows from the Crusader Knight Stand Still combo involving attacks of opportunity while adding abilities that help keep the character from being bullied, pushed around or bogged down by enemies that use the various special combat actions against which saving throws don't really help.

Overall, the language of its abilities might be less than elegant, and I may have given it too much in my attempt to make a viable mundane tank.

All I see in your signature below your post is the Drakin. You might want to link your extended signature (as I have in my signature) in your signature so people can easily navigate to it.

Otherwise it's like putting a spare room in your house, with the only door to it coming from outside of the house. It may be accessible, but it's a lot less convienient!

Hey, I'm back and I have a shiny new toy: the Haematurge. (Link's in the sig because I'm on my phone.) It's fairly long, with a base class, 39 new invocations, 5 feats, 2 magic items, 2 ACFs, 2 sets of substitution levels, and a partridge in a pear tree, so here's the deal: PEACH whatever amount you're up to and I'll so a similar amount for you. So PEACH just the class and I'll PEACH a class (or something of similar length). PEACH that plus the invocations and I'll do two classes, or one class with new fiddly bits (e.g. invocations, soulmelds, mythos). PEACH the entire thing and I'll do three classes or one class with fiddly bits and one without. Or anything of roughly the same complexity. You can even save up if you don't have that much ready; just PM me when you have something new and I'll take a look.

I'll take a look at some of the stuff that's been posted as soon as I can—the sniper and the void scriptor look interesting.

Hey guys, I'll look backwards through this thread when I can, but for now I'd like a second pair of eyes.

My favorite class from the 3.X/PF series was by far the Summoner, and I wanted to try and bring it forward into 5th Edition. I still have a ways to go with tuning (and pruning), but given the class' architecture I couldn't make it a sub-class. Link is in my signature, and this text here. lol, lots and lots of typing is the only answer, many of the core concepts from my own system have been kicking about my head for close to a decade, but only just found the time to write them up.

If your looking for formatting idea's, take a gander over mine even if you don't want to post any feedback on the mechanics themselves it could help you get an idea of how to break things up. Depends a lot on the specifics of the rules though as to how to do it.
