Alignment and hit dice for a familiar (Pathfinder)

Hi, I have two questions about familiars. First, in 3.5, I think a spellcaster's familiar (not an improved familiar) had the same alignment as the spellcaster. Is that also the case in Pathfinder? I haven't seen any rules for that yet.

Second, I noticed some confusion on another messageboard about whether familiars get actual hit dice or just effective hit dice. I thought familiars got effective hit dice, but I thought I should ask anyway, do familiars get real hit dice now?
