Just asking the few folks who have been exposed to the two classes from ghostwalk, what was your feelings about them and party interaction with them?

Their feats are neat, and probably eventually become pretty nice in play, but they take a really long time to set up into any cool combos, and the system is awkward enough that I've never seen anyone go that far.

The most obnoxious part of the Ghostwalk ghosts is dancing around the Die-forever level cap, which puts characters into a really bizarre situation where they have to revive and ignore their ghost abilities for a while in order to gain more non-ghost levels in order to be allowed to level up as a ghost to improve their ghost abilities.

It winds up being a ton of wasted GP and levels, a very short-lived character, or a character that just bails on the ghost idea.

The second most annoying part is that manipulating objects either becomes a huge ordeal or costs a feat tax on Ghostly Grasp.

Yeah.

The system's better as a fallback to keep characters in play after death than it is for being used in a deliberate build.

The one thing that might work in a build is using Eidolon/Eidoloncer as a very high-level build cap, but I'm not sure there are any feats that would justify it without a long list of prereqs.
