Level +15 Cohort?

I am a little bit out of my depths, some friends are thinking of running a Xorvintaal game,and instead of being a head dragon general, I thought of being a co-hort Exarch instead. When you start getting into the +15 area of hired hands, are you looking at only level 15 and up wizards or other creatures start becoming feasible ?

Now I'm really curious what country you're from. I assume by +15 you mean 15 and up? Usually in the US people write 15+ if they want to say that.

You can get non-humanoid cohorts at any level. The cohort level in the leadership feat is the ECL of your cohort.
